Malibu 2010 brake lights

Brake light switch at brake pedal is bad.

Same thing happened to mine. Mechanics changed the pedal positions sensor/switch 4-5 times and kept happening. Replaced the BCM and worked for about a month and broke again. Eventually, they found that the heater core drain thing was leaking and that a weld seam under the passenger side rear seat had a hold in it . There was standing water under the carpet foam on the passenger side under the dash and through the floor of the passenger side of the car. They Had to take out the carpet and let the foam dry out and the replaced the BCM, and re-welded the seam. That was the fix.
