Battery shifted and rotten box and now it doesn't charge

My battery box rotted it deposited side arc on
the hood and now it won't charge or the
charge lights on but it's obviously not
charging

The alternator could be fried as well. Have it tested. Replace the battery tray and replace the battery with the correct side terminal style. No top post or dual post style that can arc on the underside of the hood again! Hope that helps! Jim

it ended up burning the wire from the back of the alternator up I just didn't notice it I went ahead and replaced the alternator replaced a couple inches of wire gave it some extra length back on the road thanks you guys for your help You've been wonderful
