Question type: General

'shopping' for parts.....Skandix lists 6(?) different transmission types. I have a 1961 544, has  a B18D engine. I know NUMEROUS parts on this car are from different years, but the engine WAS/is a dual SU carb B18.(Husband re-designed for a single carb). Might not have come original to this car, since I bought 4 clunkers for extra parts (1 good runner w/title) but sure about  this engine. I hope this makes sense............

You're very welcome, they are great little cars. I had one in the Navy (69-75) had to leave it overseas but I finally got another in 2010. Enjoy your car!!!

I don't know what parts you're looking for, but in addition to Skandix you might want to check VP Auto parts on the web, I've dealt with them. They're priced right, honest and dependable. GOOD LUCK!!

Have used VP for Freda's parts AND our '57 Chevy Panel truck. Olof is of course a gold mine. (Duet, on eBay) in Canada. Great guy.
