Ute blows black sooty/oily crap out the exhaust, coats every thing in little spots , don't blow smoke, any ideas

Toyota 4Y petrol engine ,
stock/unmodified. Carby tuned ,
ign timing 4° btdc, points and
plugs set correctly.

let me look in my Toyota crystal ball- programming it for old worn out engines- ok- wait for it, wait for it- ah! Valve Guides! maybe

Thought about that but not blowing any smoke, will rip rocker cover off and have a look see anyway, thanks bloke
