Great Little Econo-box! — Very fun car to drive. Actually gets quite a few looks, after debadging, dark tinting the windows and adding 15 inch wheels with low profile tires. People don't know what it is. I call it the rocket. Just needs a cape now!

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Great gas mileage. More room than most would expect, given it's size. Feels light and nimble. Maintenance costs very reasonable.

Cons: Pretty noisy on the highway. Could have more supportive front seats.

Good Car For Student Or Grocery Go-getter — It was a great little car for the price. I got it because I was having to drive over 300 miles every other week as well as commute 26 miles each way to go to school every day. We paid only $12,500 brand new and it has had few maintenance issues for over 60,000 so far. Aveos do have a problem with the fuel sensor which causes an intermittent check engine light and requires $500 or so to fix because the whole throttle body has to be replaced. I just wait til the light goes out to get it inspected. Running ethanol-free gas may solve the problem, but I don't know. The fix may not be a big deal for someone who is a mechanic. It handles very well at both low and highway speed in sun and rain, but this car handles poorly if there is snow or ice on the ground. I'm good at winter driving but I still ended up doing a 360 on the highway when ice was on the ground.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Decent gas mileage. Great turning radius. Handles well at highway speed. Nice storage for a car this size. Very reliable.

Cons: Under powered. Slow acceleration. Handles terrible in cold weather.

Good Car But Must Be Maintained!!!!! — I bought this car used in 2008 and have put nearly 60000 miles on it since then. I paid 10200 with 7000 miles on the vehicle the cons I have noted are every issue that i have had with this vehicle although i am a little disappointed i am not unsatisfied. the key with this car is maintenance. Follow the manufacturers recommendations and you should be satisfied just remember to factor the costs i have mentioned into the price

    Primary Use: Family transportation

    Pros: good looks
fair fuel economy 38-40 hwy  28-32 city
good sound system in the LT
    comfortable ride

Cons: issue with the coil , wires and spark plugs some years are covered by a recall my 2008 is not. about 300 dollars to fix
MUST REPLACE TIMING BELT BY 60000 MILES AT MOST. ABOUT 400 DOLLAR FIX
chrome trim in car is cheap and is flaking around vents.
tires are expensive to replace 560 dollars as of 2011
car dents if you look at it wrong

.....chevy Aveo.....those Who Drives It, Certainly Knows What I M Talkin Bout — Got the car for my college........and obviously man, you certainly have that nice feelin towards your first car...weather its a beemer or a zen.......well its just been only round 8-9 months for me drivin it...but i certainly do enjoy its ride.....though many of my frnds say that i should've made a better deal for my first ride and certainly now i feel that honda city would've been a beter option....

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: well it certainly aint on top of the charts for its looks.....but i feel its performance is certainly up to mark concidering its price...

Cons: it gives a very formal look......feels like you're going for some kinda business deal or something every time you ride it

Excellent Commuter. — Suprisingly much more car for the money than one would expect. Car likes to cruise at 70-75mph and will do 105 easily as I have had it there on a few occasions. Speedo says 120 but the car is so light I am not willing to attempt it. Car goes virtually anywhere and has an amazing amount of cargo space with the back seats all the way folded. The only complaint I have is the road noise. But what do you expect for a car you can buy for $8-$11k?

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Peppy and Feul Efficient (I get 40+ on long highway trips)

    Cons: Road noise

The Aveo — This is a great car if you are gas conscience. Its really a more sporty type of soccer mom car. I love it! The only reason I would get rid of it would be to be able to get a cute sports car.

    Pros: Its great on gas

Cons: no power under the hood

It's Cute And Fun. — My sweet little Burro! It's comfortable, reasonably scooty, fuel-efficient and easy to drive. The Aveo is small and it looks small, there's no getting around it. Watching a full-sized adult climb out of the driver's seat made circus music run through my head. Once I got past that, I noticed that the Aveo is nicely styled, with modern lines and tasteful details. The proportions of the car make it seem a little tall for its size. The body has just enough curves to keep the overall shape from being boxy. Big rectangular headlights wrap the front corners, and a small grill features a polished Chevy bowtie. Fit and finish are very good, with high quality paint and chrome, and tight, even seams and gaps.

Pros: 800 kms per tank baby

Cons: I have yet to see James Bond drive one

Great Car — I based all my ratings on the Aveo compared to other cars in its class. And in this class, you, the customer would be looking for an affordable 4 door sedan that has reliability, quality and economics. My girlfriend has driven the car for a little over a month and just loves it. When you first look at the car it appears as it is, a small car. But when you hop in to the interior its a different story. An adult can fit comfortable in the back seat and has some very nice features from the sunroof to cd player and a good list of standard features. For a car in this class, or for any category has 1 of the best in the industry ( check local dealerships on #s). Take 1 for a drive, you will like it just as much as we do.

    Pros: Everything

Cons: Its not a ferrari, lol
