2007 Nissan Altima Trims and Specs

The 2007 Nissan Altima 2.5 is the base model mid-size sedan, and features less standard equipment than the other trims. Like all the Altimas, it sits on a new D platform, with a stronger suspension and shocks for improved performance. It has a 2.5-liter, 175-hp I4 and a 6-speed manual only. Power locks and windows are standard, but air conditioning is an option.

ABS, traction control and stability control are not offered at all, even as options, as they are on other models. Intelligent key, tilt steering, and a tire pressure monitor are some nice conveniences.

Rear seats fold 60/40 with a trunk pass-through. The 2007 Altima 2.5 is outfitted with eight cup holders for five passengers (when one cup of coffee just isn't enough).

With a new, stiffer platform and suspension, the 2007 Altima 3.5 SE has a 3.5-liter, 270-hp V6 and comes with either a 6-speed manual or CVT seamless shift transmission. It has a more sports-tuned suspension and larger anti-sway bars than the I4 models, and it sits on 17-inch tires.

As for standard features, those include ABS, electronic brake assist, and traction control, in addition to the already standard front, side, and curtain airbags. A power driver's seat is added to the equipment, as is one-touch power windows, leather trim, and an MP3 outlet. This is in addition to the Intelligent Key, push-button ignition, cruise control, eight cupholders, foglights, and cruise control. Option packages add a sunroof, navigation system with rearview camera, heated leather seats, upgraded audio system, and dual-zone climate control. According to owners, the CVT is a highlight, as is the extra powerful engine. A standard GPS system and better quality interior materials are some complaints.

The 2007 Nissan Altima 3.5 SL is the top-of-the-line offering of this mid-sized sedan. It is fully equipped with both safety and convenience features. Its powertrain is a 3.5-liter, 270-hp V6 and a CVT auto tran. No manual is available on the SL. ABS brakes and traction control are standard, and stability control is an option. Front, side and curtain airbags are standard across the lineup.

A sports-tuned suspension, stronger shocks, and larger anti-roll bars are part of the SE and SL package. The 2007 Altima 3.5 SL adds heated leather seats in the front, a power sunroof, satellite radio, upgraded audio system, turn signals on the side mirrors, and a universal remote for a garage door. Like the SE, it also has leather trim, cruise control, front and overhead consoles, foglights, and intermittent wipers.
