This 2006 Sequoia frame was rusting out , owner of vehicle must have owned a pet by the smell. I don’t think this car was a good value. Pictures was deceiving seats look light grey in picture the seats was a dirty beige. Body of vehicle had several. Scratches and hole right side bumper. I discourage by me seeing this vehicle at this dealership. I’m not looking forward used vehicles anymore. Also the engine for 154,000 miles look like it was steam clean but did not look good probably several oil leaks concealed.

Amazing Family Car! — A very well made vehicle, comfortable and roomy. Can seat 8 including driver for those soccer trips or family vacations. Great for carpooling which I did a lot of over the years! Reliable and dependable are two great words to describe the Sequoia!

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Great family car, take the kids and the grandparents!

Cons: Powerful V8 uses more gas otherwise sad to see it go!

Best Suv I've Ever Owned! Comfortable, Spacious & Reliable. — Small parking spaces aren't the Sequoia's friend. Gas mileage isn't the greatest but much better than a Suburban! Comfortable, seats 7! Reliable and clean! High Safety Rating! Air bags all around! Sound system with multi disc CD player is very good!

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Comfortable and powerful! Reliable and safe!

Cons: Of course it's an SUV so getting 16 mpg is a fact of life.

Perfect Family Car — The Sequoia has the best access to the third row seats in it's class. We take this car with 3 kids to Florida and back, run errands, go to dinner as a couple or with another couple, tow our boat to the lake, run for groceries etc. The maintenance cost is ridiculously low.

Pros: Best seven passenger configuration other than Mini Van

Cons: Always gets 15.7 MPG

Toyota Sequoia 2006 - A Superior Suv Tried 2 American Autos/jeep And Ford Both Flunked!! — We love our Sequoia. Had a new Jeep that needed brakes every 6 months, literally, then new Ford Explorer that needed constant maintenance, we love our Sequoia, Superior build quality, appearance awesome not dated, performance accelerate great and break excellent. Only wish we could get at least 4 mpg more.

Pros: Superb handling, comfortable on long trips, great overall

Cons: Miles Per Gallon --- would love at least 4 or 5 more mpg

I Still Live My Toyota Sequoia! — I love the space and the fact that I can see everything. I, like most Americans with big SUVs, hate the poor gas mileage. However, with three children and a dog, this truck gets the job done! I wouldn't trade it right now, especially since I am spoiled with driving a big vehicle.

Pros: Great room and excellent handling.  Fun and wasy to drive!

Cons: Poor gas mileage

2006 Toyota Sequoia SR5 4WD Review
Paul says:
Massive, powerful and filled with all kinds of unexpected bonus features, this vehicle is a must see to believe. Reliability and versatility for a large or growing family as well as a great work vehicle. Its one drawback is the relatively high initial cost, but long term this is a remarkably affordable SUV!!

Handling Ranked 2006 Honda Pilot EX-L better.
"Built lower to the ground and with a looser suspension, the Pilot performs more like a car than the big truck feel of the Sequoia. When given a heavy load, it struggles, but as a daily driver, the Pilot is the better of the two."
Cargo Capacity Ranked 2006 Honda Pilot EX-L worse.
"The extended truck bed and classic truck chassis give the Sequoia the edge and puts the U back in SUV!"
