2004 Saab 9-3 Trims and Specs

The Linear is the entry point for the 2004 9-3 lineup. This is the only variant to be powered by the 175 horsepower engine, which can be paired with either a five-speed manual or an optional five-speed automatic transmission. Standard features include power heated mirrors, air conditioning, cruise control, keyless entry, full power accessories including one-touch front windows, a power driver's seat, leather upholstery and a seven-speaker CD audio system. Most of the upper trim level features are optional here, including a power passenger seat, a six-disc in-dash CD changer as part of an upgraded audio system, heated seats and automatic climate control.

The Arc is the mid-level sedan in the 2004 9-3 lineup. The most significant upgrade at this level is the more powerful turbocharged engine, which bumps horsepower from 175 to 210. Additional features at this level include dual-zone automatic climate control, 16-inch alloy wheels and a memory function for the driver's seat. All 9-3s come standard with safety features like stability control, traction control, ABS and front side airbags. Options on the Arc include OnStar, a CD changer and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.

The Aero is the renamed top shelf 9-3 sedan, replacing the 2003 9-3 Vector. The Aero shares a power plant with the lower-priced Arc, which makes 210 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque. Exclusive standard features include 17-inch wheels, a tire pressure monitors, a special exterior body kit, sport exhaust and premium a 300-watt, 13-speaker sound system. OnStar also becomes standard at this level.

The Arc is the more affordable of two 9-3 convertible models, which both cost nearly $10,000 than their sedan counterparts. The Arc is powered by the 210 horsepower version of the turbocharged 2.0 liter engine, mated to a five-speed manual transmission. Standard features on the Arc Convertible include all of the items found in the Arc Sedan, plus dual-zone automatic climate control, 16-inch wheels, a power convertible top, a power passenger seat and an memory function for the driver's seat.

The Aero Convertible is the top-of-the-line 9-3 model, with respect to both price and features. The Aero and Arc house the same version of the turbocharged 2.0 liter engine, which generates 210 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque. A six-speed manual transmission is standard at this level. Other standard items exclusive to the Aero are 17-inch wheels, OnStar, a tire pressure monitor and an upgraded 13-speaker audio system.
