The 3.0 liter sedan is now available with a new Sport Package, with adds Jaguar's CATS (Computer Active Suspension Technology) and self-adjusting shock absorbers. A new color, Pacific Blue, is offered exclusively with this package. The standard model comes equipped with leather upholstery, a trip computer, dual-zone climate control, heated mirrors, keyless entry, a wood-trimmed steering wheel and shift knob and automatic headlights.
The power is supplied by a 3.0 liter, 24-valve DOHC V-6, which generates 240 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque. A five-speed automatic transmission delivers power to the rear wheels. The 3.0L sedan speeds from 0 to 60 mph in 8.7 seconds, and consumes (preferably premium) fuel at a rate of 18/25 mpg.

This top tier Jaguar S-Type is differentiated from the 3.0 L sedan by the addition of a 282 horsepower V-8, electro-chromatic mirrors, memory front seat settings, a premium audio system and a power moon roof. The CD changer, optional on the 3.0 is standard here.
The 4.0 liter DOHC V-8 powers this mid-size sedan from 0 to 60 mph in seven seconds, and through the quarter mile in 15.5. Fuel economy is estimated at 17/24 mpg with the V-8.
The S-Type 4.0 is now offered with Jaguar's Sport Package, which adds the CATS (Computer Active Technology Suspension) and self-adjusting shocks.
