Most of the changes to the 1994 Audi 90 S sedan, the base model, had to do with adding more standard features. As if it needed many more. The biggest addition was a passenger airbag, so now the 1994 90 had dual front airbags. A 2.8-liter, 172-hp V6 and 5-speed manual (optional 4-speed automatic) were unchanged. Besides standard fog lights, power driver's seat, cruise control, alarm system, ABS brakes, and power heated mirrors, new features included a digital dash display, intermittent wipers, and leather trim on the steering wheel. Heated seats and a sunroof were still nice options.
The 1994 Audi 90 S is stylish, comfortable, quiet, smooth, with expert handling and premium interior luxury, say owners. Complaints focus on high-cost repairs, lack of cupholders, and somewhat sluggish acceleration.

Like the other two trims, the 1994 Audi 90 CS sedan offered dual front airbags this year for the first time. Other than that, there was little change from the previous year. A 2.8-liter, 172-hp V6 and 5-speed manual transmission were the standard drivetrain, though a 4-speed automatic was optional. Features were similar to the base model, such as cruise control, heated power mirrors, tachometer, fog lights, center console, and digital dash display. The CS added a power driver's seat, power sunroof, and leather seats into the mix, for an even more luxurious ride.
Drivers love riding in the 1994 90 CS, for its smooth handling and quiet, comfortable interior. They do wish it had a little more horsepower and quicker off-the-line capability, as well as less expensive repair costs.

Dual front airbags were the biggest change to the 1994 Audi 90 CS quattro sedan, a high-end family or business car that tried to combine quality engineering with personal comfort. The 90 CS quattro was basically an all-wheel drive version of the two-wheel drive CS sedan. It too came with the 2.8-liter, 172-hp V6, but only with a 5-speed manual. Quattros were not offered with automatic transmissions.
Like the regular CS, it had lots of bells and whistles inside, such as fog lights, cruise control, dual climate control, numerous power features, a sunroof, and leather seats. ABS was standard across all the trims. But the CS quattro added on a rear spoiler and a special sports-tuned suspension for more adventurous driving. A ski bag is an option on the CS quattro. Drivers feel it has a good highway speed, but would like more power to match the heaviness of a quattro-loaded car. They love the quattro performance in snow, the fact that the Audi 90 never seems to rust, and the solid handling on the road.
