1993 Dodge Grand Caravan Overview

Because it was still one of the most popular minivans on the market, Dodge didn't tinker with its 1993 Grand Caravan, still available in base, SE, ES, and LE trims.

A 3.0 V6 at 142-hp or 3.3 V6, at 150-hp was the driving force behind soccer moms everywhere, and for such a hefty people mover, it got fairly decent gas mileage, at 20/27 mpg. Standard driver's front airbags (a first for minivans), and ABS enhanced the safety features, and all models of the Grand Caravan, except the Cargo Van, had an AWD option.

Drivers still find the third row of seats difficult for one person to remove, and transmission repairs seem frequent. But the powerful engine and sturdy suspension, while not ready for NASCAR (hmm, soccer mom NASCAR racing), gives drivers confidence when merging. A well-thought out interior is also a big selling point for the 1993 Grand Caravan. Able to seat seven relatively comfortably, the front instrument panel and consoles are convenient and easy to use. There is storage for just about every kind of object you might bring in the car.
