At 61.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any reported damage was repaired properly. Should I buy a 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 61.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.96% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 is a sensible choice if you want the Grand Caravan’s core strengths at a softened price and you’re willing to shop carefully for condition. If you’re especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may also make sense, but the 2016 stands out as a balanced pick when you want practicality, strong owner satisfaction, and a market that still offers room to negotiate.
