Reviews SummaryThe mid-size SUV has room for seven (barely) and comes in Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige trims. There are two different engine choices, but all Q7s, regardless of trim, are all-wheel-drive (AWD) with excellent handling characteristics. However, this second-generation Q7 has been around since 2017, and it shows in some key areas. Verdict: While the 2025 Audi Q7 has a lot going for it in terms of driving dynamics and engine prowess, it falls behind the competition when it comes to safety tech. Further, the third row is cramped for anyone but the smallest of humans, and the price can skyrocket as you move up the trim line.
Reviews SummaryAutomakers have traditionally had a hard time making money on entry-level subcompact cars, because they have low profit margins, but America has largely moved away from cars to crossover SUVs—and higher prices. That allows car companies to offer an entry-level subcompact SUV for thousands more than a similar sedan or hatchback. Such is the case with the Hyundai Venue, which costs more than its predecessor, the subcompact Accent that was dropped after the 2022 model year. While the price is higher, the advantage for buyers is a vehicle that generally has more cargo space and is more practical. We recently drove the 2026 Hyundai Venue SEL w/2-Tone Roof (yes, that’s the trim level name) to find out if a subcompact crossover is a better buy than a cheaper subcompact car. Verdict: The Hyundai Venue sacrifices refinement for a price point that isn’t as low as a comparable subcompact car. We’d be tempted to spend a little more for a slightly larger compact car with more power, features, and refinement.

The 2025 Audi Q7 showcased a refined exterior with a new front fascia, featuring standard Matrix-design LED headlamps and stylish daytime running lights. The front spoiler and rear diffuser were updated, and the grille sported vertical inlays within its octagon frame, contributing to a more cohesive look. Customization options allowed buyers to choose different finishes for the front bumper, door trim, and rear diffuser, while the Black Optic package added black accents and Anthracite Gray Audi rings. A unique laser-etched badging on the B-pillar added a touch of exclusivity. The Q7 was available in eight colors, including the new Sakhir Gold, with three wheel options in 20- or 21-inch diameters. Inside, the updates were minimal, with new wood and carbon trim inlays but limited interior color choices. The interior featured piano black surfaces and stacked infotainment screens, with HVAC vents stretching across the dash.
The 2026 Hyundai Venue, classified as a crossover SUV, had a design that leaned more towards a tall hatchback. It offered front-wheel drive and a ground clearance of 6.7 inches, making it more of a midsize car according to the EPA. The Venue's design was compact and narrow, with an upright windshield and SUV-like cues such as a bluff nose and roof rails. The high nose was complemented by lower headlights and high-set daytime running lights, while black wheel flares and a two-tone roof added flair. Inside, the Venue had a simple and functional look, with a digital instrument cluster and a small touchscreen. Body-color trim surrounded the air vents and shifter, bringing some of the exterior design elements inside.

The 2025 Audi Q7 offered two engine options for the Premium and Premium Plus trims. The 45 TFSI featured a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine producing 261 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque. The 55 TFSI, available on the top Prestige trim, boasted a 3.0-liter turbo V6 with 335 horsepower and 365 pound-feet of torque. The eight-speed automatic transmission delivered power to all four wheels, with various drive modes including Comfort, Dynamic, Individual, All Road, and Off Road. The Q7's handling was impressive, with minimal body roll and firm brakes, aided by available all-wheel steering. Fuel economy for the 55 TFSI was rated at 18 mpg city, 23 mpg highway, and 20 mpg combined, while the smaller engine offered slightly better efficiency.
The 2026 Hyundai Venue was powered by a naturally aspirated 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine, producing 121 horsepower and 113 pound-feet of torque. The power was delivered through a continuously variable transmission (CVT) to the front wheels. The Venue's acceleration was modest, with a 0-60 mph time of 8.5–8.8 seconds, but its lightweight design made it feel peppy in city traffic. The transmission provided stepped gear ratios, but heavy throttle caused engine noise due to limited sound deadening. Handling was stable and direct, with a comfortable ride, although the solid rear axle made it jiggly on rough surfaces.
The 2025 Audi Q7 featured heated eight-way power-adjustable front seats with four-way lumbar support, with the Prestige trim adding a Bang & Olufsen stereo system, 360-degree camera, and ventilated and massaging front seats. The Executive package offered four-zone climate control and heated rear seats. The Q7 had three rows of seating, with the third row suitable for children. Cargo space measured 14.2 cubic feet behind the third row, expanding to 35.7 and 69.6 cubic feet when the third and second rows were folded. Small storage was limited, with a shallow center console and door pockets.
The 2026 Hyundai Venue's interior featured cloth and H-Tex seats with manual adjustments and seat heating in the SEL models. Headroom was ample, but legroom was limited for taller occupants. The rear seat accommodated two adults comfortably, with a 60/40 split for folding flat. Cargo space was 18.7 cubic feet with the rear seats up, expanding to 31.9 cubic feet when folded. The Venue's interior was dominated by hard black plastic, with limited soft-touch surfaces.
The 2025 Audi Q7's Multi Media Interface (MMI) infotainment system was housed on a 10.1-inch center screen, with a smaller screen for HVAC controls. The system included a configurable digital gauge cluster and Google Maps navigation. The Audi App Store offered third-party downloads, and the myAudi app allowed customization with themed wallpapers. The Q7 included online navigation and traffic light information for three years, along with a six-month Wi-Fi trial.
The 2026 Hyundai Venue featured an 8-inch touchscreen for basic infotainment functions, including phone, radio, media, and phone-projection connections. It lacked navigation and a Wi-Fi hotspot but offered wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The audio system was a simple six-speaker unit, with no premium option available.
The 2025 Audi Q7 came equipped with advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) such as blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control. The Q7 received a five-star overall rating from the NHTSA, with top marks in side crash tests. The IIHS had not yet rated the 2025 model, but the 2024 model received "Good" ratings in crashworthiness.
The 2026 Hyundai Venue included standard safety features like forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and lane-keep assist. The Venue received a four-star overall rating from the NHTSA, with "Good" scores in the small front overlap test from the IIHS. However, ratings for other tests were unavailable.
