2019 Ford Edge Reviews Summary

The Edge was a key vehicle in the evolution of the family SUV market when Ford first introduced it for the 2007 model year. Back then, automakers were experimenting with just what a “crossover” could constitute—look at the Pontiac Aztec and first-generation Chrysler Pacifica if you disagree. But with the Edge, the midsize, two-row SUV template started to take shape.

Ford offers the 2019 Edge with an ST trim, grafting performance onto the utilitarian Edge blueprint. But that begs a question—can a vehicle still be good at family hauling and commuting while also delivering speed and performance?

2019 Chevrolet Blazer Reviews Summary

Chevy Blazers have historically been capable machines built upon pickup-truck skeletons. The all-new 2019 Blazer is anything but an off-roader. With 21-inch tires and standard front-wheel drive, this crossover feels at home on the road, not off it. Maybe that's why the more I drove the 2019 Chevrolet Blazer on the highways and byways of Southern California, the more I liked it. Think of this new midsize 5-passenger crossover as the Camaro of SUVs, and you’ll understand its purpose and position among its competition.

2019 Ford Edge

7/10

2019 Chevrolet Blazer

10/10
CarGurus experts rate the 2019 Ford Edge as 7 out of 10 and the 2019 Chevrolet Blazer as 10 out of 10. The Ford Edge received a facelift for 2019 that includes a new grille, headlights, and lower front fascia. Out back, the Edge has new taillights, and the red connector between the two taillights has been replaced with a larger black panel, giving every trim of the Edge a sportier appearance. The cabin feels dated, with heavy reliance on plastics, but it offers plenty of standard and available features. The 2019 Chevrolet Blazer has received widespread attention for its appealing design, especially in sporty RS or upscale Premier trim with the big, fancy wheels and nice interior.
