2007 Impala SS transmission
Car won’t drive when gear select is placed in Overdrive or Drive.Car will go in gear 2 and reverse. What could be the problem?

The 2007 Chevrolet Impala has few changes from the 2006 model. For some reason, its base 3.5-liter V6 now achieves 211 horsepower at 5,800 rpm instead of 5,900 rpm. Not sure how it gained that extra dash of power, but the remaining features remain almost identical.
2007 does bring a few newly named trims. The top engine remains the SS's 5.3-liter V8, rated at 303 horsepower at 5,600 rpms. Gas mileage is typical for a midsize car, at 28 highway/18 city for the SS, with slight improvements for the smaller-engine trims.

Can I upgrade to these tires?
I have a 2007 Chevy Impala LS base model. They have the base 225/R16's on them. I have a chance to upgrade to the stock LTZ/Monte Carlo tires & rims 235/50R18's. I just want to make sure the wheelbase is the same on all the models & there won't be any issues if I put these on? Any help with this matter is greatly appreciated.
