The 2006 Chevrolet Malibu was restyled, and dropped the chrome bar that ran across the grille of the car. These changes hearkened back to earlier days of this model, recalling a sportier era.
The base engine is a 2.2-liter Ecotec L61 I4, capable of 145 horsepower. Available engines include a 3.5-liter LX9 V6, rated at 200 horsepower and standard in the LS and LT trims. Both the Sedan and Maxx SS come standard with the 3.9-liter LZ9, rated at 240 horsepower.

May 8, 2008This has been a very reliable car. Has plenty of power for most situations. Although the 2004-2007 Malibu was not a very attractive vehicle, this model escapes that garden variety look. The wheels, different front and rear fascia's and interior help out. Also don't see too many other SS Sedans. The only Chev car with worse fuel economy is the Vette.
March 14, 2008I bought this car new and have put 110,000+ miles on it. It has been a very reliable and economical car. Gets over 25 mpg around town and 30+ mpg highway. It is plenty comfortable for basic transportation. Would consider purchasing another...when this one wears out..
February 25, 2015basic mid size sedan but with some power under the hood plus all the bells and whistles because its an LTZ. also very nice cuz its an american car so you cant go wrong! to top that its a GM
February 18, 2010Love the take off it feels like a sports car but drives like a luxury car. Gas is great only takes about $35-$45 to fill up. My car is black and has black leather and suede inside. It is fun to drive.

January 27, 2008With only a 2.2 engine doesnt feel heavy like a 2.4 Stratus and gives better fuel economy than a 2.5 Altima i think the interior could use a little more work i think its a great looking car cheap to run and mantain its a comfortable car when u want to when u press the gas transforms itself
