Older car by most standards but if you can get into one at low miles there’s still plenty of fun to be had. These car if well maintained are still just as comfortable as they were almost 20 years ago. Insurance won’t be happy with you if your a new driver in around the $400 range.Jan 23, 2025

This car has been great for me and I definitely like it the more I drive it, smooth on the road and handles every turn with ease. My only problems I have with the car is the fact that it’s so low to the ground one wrong move on a speed bump and you may not have a car anymore. On a personal note my problem with my car is that the interior of the car shows it’s age and wasn’t taken care of properly. But if you have a little extra cash flow and some time on your hands this car is perfect in every way !Aug 16, 2021

We bought this car used which meant the price was right for this much comfort, style and most importantly a quiet ride. The GPS system needs a new DVD upgrade as roads change but we just use our smart phones anyway. There have been a few computer system glitches but we expected that in a used car, nothing we've had to address yet. We will most likely be replacing this one eventually with another BMW since this one has been a great car. Next one will need to have all wheel drive as this one doesn't do well at all on snow & ice.Nov 03, 2014

I bought my 330i used with about 35,000 miles on it so still under warranty though I never had to use it. The previous owner had replaced the run flat tires, which are standard, with regular tires so I put run flats on right away. That was the biggest expense the whole time I owned the vehicle. It had the Sport and Premium Packages and was fun to drive every time I started it. You have to use premium gas but it gets such good gas mileage you don't mind. It was only in the shop twice (power window motors that I mentioned) other than oil changes. I couldn't recommend the car more highly. I clicked that I mostly used the car for sport/fun but the emphases is on the fun. I never took it to the track or rode it terribly hard but I was occasionally aggressive on some curvy roads. I enjoyed owning my 2006 BMW 330xi - a great looking vehichle. It was great in the snow, having AWD, but also very sporty and a great ride in the warmer weather. Traction and stability were certainly a plus. I had very few issues with the vehichle, all easily handled by a great third party warranty. I would definitely recommend this vehichle to any car enthusiast!Jul 22, 2014

I really enjoyed the acceleration and sports car feel and the control aspect in winter conditions. The fuel economy was more than adequate for a car with this kind of power. I experienced no unexpected repairs or annoying characteristics for such a performance car.Apr 08, 2014

The 330 convertible was my compromise between a true 2 seat sports car and a family sedan. I have taken my kids to school and then drove it to work everyday since I bought it - and I loved every minute of my commute. It has stood up rather well to the rigors of daily use with the interior showing signs of wear only on the left lateral support of the driver's seat and the steering wheel radio buttons. That is a testament to the quality of the materials used in the car. I would definitely recommend this car to anyone who appreciates driving rather than just commuting!May 30, 2013

It is comfortable, clean, and a nice car to be driving when you are a 23 year old college student. It does garner some attention when I am seen driving in it. Aside from that, it is high maintenance and high performance like any other BMW. This one in particular has issues that are commonly associated with first year models. Performance - sportscar acceleration with never-ending power band. Steering
response is equally excellent. Braking is good, but fades a bit after long
periods of spirited driving (which is to be expected). Handling is very good, but
lacks a limited slip differential for balls-to-the-wall driving. The DTC is too
invasive.
Build Quality - commensurate with a BMW. Solid, with no issues.
Appearance - definitely a sleeper. The only thing that differentiates this from
the 320i's is the dual exhaust and the 330i badge, which means lots of people
will mistake it for a 320i, and challenge it as such, with disastrous results.
Cost of Ownership - definitely a gas guzzler, but my company pays for my fuel,
so whatever :-)

Always provides some form of thrill. Traction Control allows some wheel
spin, without totally loosing control. Acceleration can not be beat,
especially in the 50- 70 passing speed. BMW maintenance, is the best in
the industry.No major problems to speak of yet either. Loaners are always
top of the line, brand new models. Milage is decent as well at 300 to 350

This car is exactly what you want out of a BMW, it has an incredible inline
6 naturally aspirated engine. I love the amount of pull it has in higher
gears, with a great amount in low gears as well. Great interior, good

performance and luxury... the only downside is the high maintenance
and limited aftermarket parts like turbo, tranny conversions, some bolt
ons and interior extras... but it was a great coupe.. so simple to be called

Performance is ok with 230HP but the 6 speed manual makes it much more fun than
it would be otherwise. The build quality of the car is perfect...so smooth and quiet.
One of the best things about a BMW is it's distinguishable look, and this BMW has
that locked down with a classic silver exterior and black leather interior. Gas
mileage is fantastic for a 6 cylinder, don't worry about gas other than you have to

The Bimmer is for pure pleasure. Excellent handling, great performance (I know, the N52 engine isn't the N54, but I've tweaked it to rival a 330i) and it's a looker. Fit and finish is typical German production, which is precise and designed well. It's fun on turns. Currently I have Breyton wheels and Hankook tires. The tires have been a disappointment in handling compared to the Goodyear F1 GS-D3's I previously rode on. The brakes on this vehicle (stock) are the best I've ever had on any vehicle I've owned. Excellent road feel and short stopping times (Unscientifically analyzed, of course. I know what I like.) These current 3 series (e90s) vehicles have a design and mechanics that'll be timeless and lauded after it's all said and done.Oct 22, 2009

Love the handling, and braking is really good
Feel like it could use some more power in terms of straight-line acceleration, but the 255 is ample for most needs
Overall it is amazing to drive, and it makes me smile everytime i take a corner at speed. The steering is nicely weighted and very sensitive, best ive driven so far.
The appearance is pretty decent stock, but its more classy than sporty, however a few subtle aggressive mods will change that, (working on those right now)
The build quality is above average, but occasional little things get annoying, like broken cup holders and occasional rattles
gets good gas mileage if you want it to, aka. dont drive like you stole it
a bit pricey (both the car and all parts associated with it), but its a BMW so its expected

Overall- i just love the car.

Appearance - for a machine, its quite glamorous.

What an amazing car! Not only is it beautiful on the inside and out, it
handles like no other. The interior is beautifully assembled and is very
luxurious but simple in function. The engine although only has 215 bhp
is still plenty powerful and has some of the silkiest acceleration. The 6

BMW couldn't have come up with a better slogan, "The ultimate driving machine." This vehicle was truly made to be driven, especially driven hard. For once, a "tiptronic" automatic transmission that actually changes its shifting characteristics to a more noticeable degree. Precise steering response and tight suspension make this 4 passenger luxury coupe feel more like a 2 seater sports car. If you can put up with a bit of diesel clatter (especially for a luxury car), it is worthwhile getting this diesel. The torque when overtaking, or going up hills even when fully loaded is amazing, better then many petrol 6 cylinders.
My best run measured 5L/100km fuel consumption, which would give me 1350km per tank if I could sustain that for the entire journey. However the engine being such a hard worker makes you want to step on it and feel the surge, so for a country drive, with some hills and overtaking, expect around 5.5-6.Feb 10, 2008

I want a 2006 BMW 325i this one that I'm looking at has 60,000-85,000 and I want to know how much a oil change will be! I drive a 2003 Volkswagen beetle deisol and to change the oil on that cost me about $80 so I'm use to spending that much on oil changes ill probably set aside $1,000 or $1,500 aside for Unexpected things that happen I'm 17 now and will be 18 in June I really want this car! I'm 6ft and I need 4doors I'm not really that worried on insurance because I'm only gonna have to pay for 1/2 of it I have a job now amd I'm putting a down payment on it and I'm gonna sell my car and ill have around $5-6,000 for a down payment and I'm only gonna fianince it for 48mo and that puts my patent right at what I can afford this car is less than $15,000 so I have this all planned out all I want to know is how much does a oil change cost and other stuff I will have to pay for I will be taking it to a little European auto shop that works in BMW's and there fairly reasonable! Please just give me some pros and cons about this yr car and your personal experience on it thanks I know it's a lot I'm sorry but thanks again! :)

My 06 bmw 325I starts but then it shuts off while on or running.
Hello, im new here, hopefully someone could help me find out what is wrong with my car. I have a 06 bmw 325I, I took it to the shop to get 2 of my oil leaks and also to get a new starter. When I got it back I took it for a spin, but then just out of nowhere it shut down, then I tried to turn it back on and start with no problem, so now its doing the same thing, even on park it shuts off sometimes it last long running but then shuts off. I already put new battery, alternator is good. Does any one have any clue on this. It wasnt doing this before they fixed the oil leaks and put a new starter.

Hey guys, I bought a Bmw 320 private sale, it has been working perfectly fine except recently I was driving and a sign came up on dash of a image of key with slash through it, I had another message displayed on the screen something on lines of if you stop car may not start again. When I finally did come to a stop and turned off the ignition I put the key back in and the car wouldn't start!! The same image of key with slash appeared on the dash!! I went back to car after hour or so and it worked perfectly fine. But again when driving at random times the same sign would appear. It's happend a few occasions now and if I get in the car sometimes I need to insert my fob 10 times + before the car comes on! But once it's on it drives fine! No problems! So basically it's very temperamental! Any ideas what this could be.

2006 E90 330xi Automatic transmission fluid/filter change?
Car: 2006 E90 330xi Automatic with 102k Miles w/ no issues in shifting of grears or performance of tranmission both in city and highway driving. Dealership mechanic says: Don't change AT fluid/filter; it is rated as lifetime fluid unless their is a problem with tranmission/shifting Outside reputed mechanic says: Change filter/fluid Forums: Few people have had issues after the fluid/filter change. Has anyone owning e90 3 series particularly the 330i/xi models with N52 engine and GA6HP19Z automatic tranmission changed their automatic transmission fluid? What is their thoughts and experience?
