Convertible top/windoe
We have a 2005 VW convertible. The rear window has came out of the metal guide inside the car and the top has come loose from the window. Ideas to repair please

Write a reviewIn keeping with its hip, trendy styling, the Volkswagen Beetle offered a standard MP3 player with its AM/FM/CD audio system in 2005, as well as an XM or Sirius satellite radio (with a three-month subscription). For the 1.8T Turbo trim package, the automaker offered an optional six-speed automatic transmission with Tiptronic manual shifting. New exterior colors were also introduced, including Tornado Red and Shadow Blue. The Turbo S trim package was discontinued.
Standard features included four-wheel anti-lock brakes, front and side airbags, cruise control, power steering, power windows, remote power door locks, easy entry to the rear seats, single-zone climate control, heated exterior mirrors, and an anti-theft alarm system. Options include a sunroof, Xenon high-density headlights, and an OnStar communications system.
The one thing most Beetle owners didn't have was buyer's remorse. In comment after comments, buyers are enthusiastic about their cars and are happy with their purchasing decisions. Despite its few quirks, the Beetle definitely has an ability to put a smile on any driver's face.

Rear seating space, is not for adults, and barley accommodates kids. Engine is very peppy especially in Sport mode. Heated seats are a real plus in the winter time. A/C could get colder faster but it does chill down well on the hwy.Dec 03, 2013

It's small so I can handle it very well and feel comfortable on the road. I like the fact that it is good on gas and is very stylish. I like how smooth of a ride it is too, you would think since it's so small that it would be a bumpy ride.Jul 06, 2013

Overall the bug is a keeper... other than the cons described above the car drives great and is soooo fun and cute...I believe with the new model that came out this year there is a huge improvement on all the things describe as being a con. I dont like the new body style...its looks like a mini cooper and a Porsche combined and simply take away from the classic look the bug is all about... I feel they should have had two optional body's to choose from... the reason I feel people buy them is because it is a bug (that's why I wanted one anyway)... that is just my opinion. Dec 28, 2011

This baby hugs the road, you feel like your
driving a dream... I've driven on ice and seen
SUVs struggle and I had no problems maintaining
control. The gas mileage is GREAT especially
during these economical times and the price of
gasoline. I will miss this car dearly but our
growing family needs something bigger. I know
you would get just as much fun out of it as I
did. Low miles, great mpg and with all the
bells and whistles, you can't go wrong
purchasing this car! Makes a great graduation
present or any fun, economical car to own!!

Fun car to drive with the top up or down. Acceleration is just okay. Not what I'd
like. It is a very heavy and solid drive that corners at high speed extremely well.
What I like the very most: there is no change in performance or gas mileage when

Very cool car, huge fun factor, fast. German handling is a winner. Holds the
road well. Easy to control in snow.

Gas mileage is good and is fun to drive specially with top down. Front seats are very spacious and comfortable. Accelaraton is slow but then again is four cylinder.Jan 09, 2010

This is a nice car and very dependable. The car is very reliable with comfortable seats. The only problem is the leatherette seats are very cold in the winter. I would recommend this car for anyone who is just starting to drive.Aug 02, 2009

Only hybrids get better fuel economy, but this will run biodiesel. Handles like an Audi TT, because it is built on the same platform. Never have to tune up, because there are no spark plugs, etc to worry about.Mar 03, 2008

Great piece of engineering; a lot of fun with either the top up or down. I own a black on tan leather with multi spoke alloy wheels and XM radio and it's an overall great car. My wife use to drive it but now with a baby is a little difficult due to space, but we love the carJan 09, 2008
