Why it stands out
The 2016 Honda Civic stands out as a significant evolution in the long-running Civic line, combining style and functionality in a compact package. Its redesign offers a sleek exterior that draws comparisons to higher-end vehicles, such as the Audi A7, making it a visually appealing choice for buyers. The Civic introduced an all-new design that enhances both its refinement and build quality, confidently stepping away from the more mundane aesthetics of previous generations.
Under the hood, buyers can choose between a 2.0-liter engine offering 158 horsepower or a turbocharged 1.5-liter with 174 horsepower, paired with either a manual or continuously variable transmission (CVT). This new engine lineup contributes to the Civic's responsive performance while achieving impressive fuel economy ratings, even in real-world driving conditions.
With safety ratings topping the charts, including a 5-star overall rating from the NHTSA and a Top Safety Pick+ designation from the IIHS, buyers can also feel secure in their choice. The interior features ample legroom and multiple smart tech options, although some might find the HondaLink infotainment system’s touch controls less user-friendly. Overall, the 2016 Civic is an excellent blend of performance, safety, and technology, making it a highly appealing option in today's compact car market.

The 2016 Honda EX is a wonderful car. The MPG is great combined with the durability of a Honda. I upgraded from a 2002 Civic EX and got my last one up to 199K miles (only performing standard maintenance checkups). 100% worth the value, and I would recommend these cars to anyone.

Love, love, love my Hondas and this one is no different. Drives so smoothly and the hatchback is very handy. Would definitely recommend.

I love the smoothness of the drive. I love the size; I can zip in and out of any parking space. The real deal breaker for me was the left hand lane warning mirror. I do wish it was a little higher from the ground. I do struggle a little bit to get in and out.
