About the Toyota GR86
The Toyota GR86, formerly known as the Toyota 86 and the Scion FR-S before that, was renamed upon its redesign for the 2022 model year to honor Toyota’s Gazoo Racing performance heritage; before the redesign, previous incarnations went back to 2012. The GR86 is also nearly identical to the Subaru BRZ, which was developed and is produced in a partnership between the two companies. This affordable rear-wheel drive (RWD) sports coupe is fun to drive and competes with the aforementioned Subaru as well as the Porsche Cayman and Mazda MX-5 Miata.
