Why it stands out
The Ford Fusion is a compelling choice for buyers seeking a stylish and reliable midsize sedan, especially from its second generation (2013-2020). With sharp design reminiscent of luxury vehicles and a spacious interior that rivals competitors like the Toyota Camry, it offers both aesthetic appeal and practicality. Additionally, the Fusion features advanced safety technologies introduced in its later models, providing peace of mind without breaking the bank—making it an attractive option for budget-conscious shoppers looking for quality and performance.
Other model years to consider
The Ford Fusion model years 2018, 2016, and 2015 provide solid value for buyers seeking a combination of affordability and positive user experiences. With average prices ranging from approximately $8,579 to $12,280, these models offer cost-effective options without compromising quality, as reflected in their strong user ratings around 4.4 to 4.8 out of 5. Additionally, the presence of good or great deals—over 28% across these model years—enhances purchase opportunities for budget-conscious consumers looking for a reliable vehicle.
Model years to approach with caution
The Ford Fusion model years present a variety of challenges for potential buyers. The 2012 model has the highest user rating at 4.5/5 but is marked by a significant 80% of listings not classified as good or great deals, despite its average price of $6,471.55. In contrast, the 2013 model's average price is slightly higher at $7,189.79, yet it has a comparatively lower user rating of 3.8/5 and faces reduced deal availability with 75% of listings not deemed favorable. Other years like the 2010 and 2009 models also reflect similar trends, with low deal availability impacting their appeal in the current market landscape.

Ford Fusions are Dependable great cars that look stylish they are Dependable cars that have a track record of lasting almost 200,000 miles
Overall great car, very clean priced well maintained. No complaints!
Ive driven this car about a thousand miles since I purchased it. The interior is nice but nothing fancy. Controls are easy to reach and use. The ride is a little firm and you feel the bumps but the tires this used vehicle came with are cheap, cheap, and cheap. When I need to replace them with something better, I think the ride will improve. The car still handles and drives very well even with the sorry tires. My model has the base, inline four-cylinder engine. Its noisy if moderately pushed and feels somewhat underpowered. Fords inline four from this generation did have a reputation for long life and reliability which are important to me. Ive driven a Fusion like this that had the V-6 engine, and it is definitely a better fit for the car. It has more power and less vibration and noise but at the expense of less fuel economy. For me fuel economy was a definite factor, so I was fine with the four-cylinder engine. My model is the SE version. If you want the best overall experience, I would try to find a SEL model. That step up usually has the V-6 engine and most of the time the leather interior. Most SEL models have the automatic climate control system where you just set you temperature and the system adjust fan speed and heating/cooling to maintain the temperature. The base and SE like mine with manual controls you have to adjust fan speed and temperature yourself to keep the temperature you like. Overall, it seems to be a solid economical car and it isnt plagued by some of the reliability issues the current generation Fusions that began in 2013 have. If you decide you want one, Id look for a 2010 to 2012 model with the SE or SEL package. That seemed to be the best of the crop for that generation of the Fusion.
Just great car, I being driving mine for over 150,000 miles, and still. Sadly Ford won’t make it anymore to replace it.
Extremely comfortable, quiet and smooth ride; very secure on the road. Wonderful entertainment system! Enjoy the CarPlay with the superb audio system. Plenty of power to get on the on ramp when needed with excellent brakes.
