New & Used 2026 Toyota Sienna for Sale nearPortland, OR

Is the 2026 Toyota Sienna a good car?

Yes — you rate it 5/5, and CarGurus experts rate it 6.5/10. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 9/10.

The 2026 Toyota Sienna fits the family-hauler brief well: it has power sliding side doors, three rows of comfortable seats, and expandable cargo room, so it works especially well if you want a practical people mover. It also brings standard hybrid power and best-in-class fuel economy, which is a major advantage if you want to spend less time at the pump.

The trade-offs are real, though. Its maximum cargo room trails other minivans, it’s described as boring to drive, and the interior materials feel cheap. Even so, the combination of comfortable seating, easy-to-use technology, and available all-wheel drive gives it broad appeal for shoppers who value convenience and efficiency.

Good and great deals account for 40.4% of listings, which suggests there’s meaningful market availability for bargain-minded buyers.

Is the 2026 Toyota Sienna reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2026 Sienna is presented as a sensible, efficiency-focused family vehicle with standard hybrid power and Toyota’s well-known reputation for long-term reliability. Its powertrain is described as foundationally sound, and the electric motors contribute to smooth, predictable behavior in everyday driving. Toyota also includes two years or 25,000 miles of free scheduled maintenance, which helps reduce early ownership costs.

That said, the Sienna’s long-term ownership risk for used buyers is tied more to its overall execution than to any single mechanical red flag: the driving experience is dull, the brakes are hard to modulate, and the cabin materials feel cheap.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Toyota Sienna?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re comparing trims with different equipment levels. Focus on cabin condition, brake feel, and how well the technology and driver-assistance features work in real-world use. If you’re considering a Woodland Edition, pay extra attention to whether the added ride height and appearance changes actually match your expectations.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Sienna is sold in LE, XLE, XSE, Limited, Woodland Edition, and Platinum trims. The base trims are more likely to leave you with a simpler cabin, while the Woodland Edition adds a subtle suspension lift and a more outdoorsy look, though it still doesn’t feel especially rugged. The interior quality is a weak point overall, with cheap-feeling plastics and flimsy touchpoints showing up even in higher-spec versions.
• Powertrain: All Siennas use a hybrid setup with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder gas engine, a nickel-metal hydride battery pack, and an electric motor. The powertrain makes 245 horsepower, and the electric motor helps at low speeds, but there isn’t much reserve for highway passing or steep climbs.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 includes high-beam assist, forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, and lane-centering assist. The Sienna also has blind-spot monitors and rear cross-traffic alert. Higher trims add front and rear parking sensors with low-speed automatic braking, while the system lacks Toyota’s Proactive Driving Assist.
• Infotainment: Most trims get a 12.3-inch digital driver display and 12.3-inch touchscreen, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Toyota also includes connected-service trials, and the system supports over-the-air capability through its connected services.
• Fuel efficiency: The AWD Sienna is rated at 35 mpg combined, and the hybrid setup is described as class-leading for fuel economy. In testing, it returned 31.1 mpg on a fuel-efficiency loop and 26.8 mpg on a mountainous route.

Which 2026 Toyota Sienna trim should I buy?

The 2026 Toyota Sienna is offered in 6 trim levels: LE, XLE, XSE, Limited, Woodland Edition, and Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the Sienna’s core strengths — hybrid efficiency, sliding doors, and family-friendly packaging — without paying for extras you may not need.
• XLE: This is the trim that most buyers should start with if they want a better balance of equipment and value. It should give you a more satisfying everyday experience without pushing you into luxury-trim pricing.
• XSE: Choose this if you want a sportier-looking Sienna and are willing to pay more for style-oriented upgrades.
• Limited: This is the better pick if you want a more upscale feel and are willing to spend for added comfort and convenience.
• Woodland Edition: This is the one to choose if you want the standard AWD setup on this trim and the extra ground clearance, but it is not a true off-road model.
• Platinum: This is the top-end choice if you want the most features, including the highest level of convenience equipment mentioned in the data.

Higher trims add front and rear parking sensors with low-speed automatic braking, which is a useful safety-package upgrade.

Is the 2026 Toyota Sienna safe?

The 2026 Toyota Sienna earns a three-star driver protection rating and a four-star front passenger protection rating from NHTSA, while also receiving five-star ratings in each side-impact test and a four-star rollover resistance rating; its overall NHTSA rating is five stars. It does not qualify for a Top Safety Pick or Top Safety Pick+ award from IIHS.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 brings high-beam assist, forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, and lane-centering assist. The Sienna also includes blind-spot monitors and rear cross-traffic alert, and higher trims add front and rear parking sensors with low-speed automatic braking.

The main caveat is the IIHS result: the Sienna got a Marginal score in the updated moderate overlap front-impact test that measures second-row occupant protection. That keeps its safety story from being a strength, even though several other tests were better.

Should I buy a 2026 Toyota Sienna or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

• 40.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2026 model emphasizes standard hybrid efficiency, available AWD, and family-friendly sliding doors.

The bottom line: If you want the newest version with strong efficiency, practical packaging, and a healthy share of good deals, the 2026 is the primary path to consider. If you’re more price-sensitive and can live with an older model year, the 2025 is worth a look for its comfort-focused strengths.
