Why it stands out
The 2025 Toyota Sequoia is notable for its robust hybrid powertrain, which combines a twin-turbocharged V6 engine with an electric motor, producing an impressive total of 437 horsepower. This capability makes it an excellent option for those needing significant towing capacity, especially with the ability to haul up to 9,520 pounds. The introduction of the stylish 1794 Edition brings luxury features like Saddle Tan leather upholstery and additional chrome accents, positioning the Sequoia as a premium full-size SUV.
However, despite its strengths, potential buyers should consider its limitations, particularly in fuel economy and interior cargo space, which may not meet expectations. The SUV is also critiqued for its cramped third row and less-than-class-leading handling dynamics, particularly when navigating tight urban environments. While it boasts easy-to-use technology along with a range of up-to-date safety features, its performance can be compromised by design choices that limit interior comfort and space. Overall, the Sequoia appeals to those who prioritize towing strength and style, though it may not be the best choice for families needing spacious seating and cargo versatility.

I love everything about the Sequoia except for the cargo space.

Reviewed a 2025 Toyota TRD Pro 4WD on Aug 7, 2025
I think this car is a good value. I think the gas mileage really isn't any better than my 2021 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro V8 that I traded in for the Sequoia. However the features of the 2025 Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro cannot be beat. I don't think Toyota missed a detail on this beauty. The vehicle has the smoothest ride of any vehicle I have ever been in. This SUV turns on a dime. I would compare it closest to the GMC Yukon Denali, except the Sequoia is cooler not just for it's rugged exterior but the red camo leather interior that is a perfect compliment to the Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro unique character and customer base.
