How much does the 2025 Jeep Wrangler cost?

Prices have softened 16.03% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 6,725 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for comparison shopping.

Is the 2025 Jeep Wrangler a good car?

Generally — the 2025 Jeep Wrangler earns a 4/5 user rating and a 5.33/10 expert rating. The model scores 7/10 across Performance and Technology.

It stays true to its adventure-first mission with iconic looks, legendary off-road ability, and removable top and doors. At the same time, the expert evaluation calls out noise, poor ride quality, and poor value for money, so you should expect a rougher experience than a conventional daily driver.

The Wrangler’s appeal is strongest if you want a vehicle built for getting dirty rather than polished commuting. The market also shows 41.0% of listings as good or great deals, which helps offset some of the model’s compromises.

Is the 2025 Jeep Wrangler reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Wrangler’s rugged design and adventure-focused hardware point to a vehicle built around durability rather than refinement. The expert evaluation also describes it as a model that keeps evolving while staying true to its core formula, which suggests Jeep has continued to refine the package without changing its identity.

The turbocharged four-cylinder is described as a fine powerplant, aside from its nasal idle note and loud cooling fan. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the Wrangler’s rough character and high-option pricing can make upkeep and satisfaction more dependent on how well the specific vehicle was maintained and equipped.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Jeep Wrangler?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report, because even a strong accident-free rate does not replace a vehicle-by-vehicle check. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on roof, doors, interior wear, and any signs of hard use, since this model is built for adventure and can show it. Pay close attention to whether the equipment on the specific listing matches the way you plan to use it.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Sport trim is the base version, while the Sport S adds more convenience and the higher trims bring more equipment and capability. The base trim is the one most likely to leave out the features you may want, especially if you care about everyday comfort and driver-assistance availability.
• Powertrain: You can choose between a 3.6-liter V6 with a six-speed manual or a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with an eight-speed automatic. The four-cylinder makes 270 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, and it is described as marginally more fuel-efficient at 21 mpg in combined driving versus 19-20 mpg for the V6.
• Safety package: Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are available on any Wrangler except the base Sport trim. Forward collision warning with automatic braking requires the Sahara, and adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go is available on models with an automatic transmission.
• Infotainment: The Uconnect 5 system includes a 12.3-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and SiriusXM satellite radio preparation. More expensive models add navigation and Jeep Connect connected services.
• Fuel efficiency: The turbocharged four-cylinder is rated at 21 mpg in combined driving, while the V6 returns 19-20 mpg.

Which 2025 Jeep Wrangler trim should I buy?

The 2025 Jeep Wrangler is offered in 7 trim levels: Sport, Sport S, Willys, Sahara, Rubicon, Rubicon X, and Rubicon 392.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, but it is also the trim most likely to feel stripped down compared with the rest of the lineup. If you want the Wrangler experience at the lowest starting point, this is the one to watch, but it is not the best choice if you want more convenience or safety equipment.
• Sport S: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds more everyday usability while staying closer to the lower end of the range. It is also the trim used in the evaluation vehicle, which shows how much equipment you can add without jumping all the way to the pricier versions.
• Willys: This trim sits above the Sport S and is a better fit if you want a more distinctive Wrangler without going all the way to the upper trims. It should appeal if you want more character while still keeping the core Wrangler formula.
• Sahara: This is the trim to target if you want the safety package that includes forward collision warning with automatic braking. It is the clearest choice for buyers who want more on-road assistance and a more fully equipped setup.
• Rubicon: This is the trim for buyers who care most about off-road capability and want the Wrangler’s trail-focused character in a more serious form.
• Rubicon X: This is the more upscale Rubicon choice if you want a higher-spec version of the off-road-focused setup.
• Rubicon 392: This is the extreme performance choice, with a 470-horsepower 6.4-liter Hemi V8 and a six-figure price tag.

The safety package is not broadly standard across the lineup, so trim choice matters a lot if you want more driver assistance.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Jeep Wrangler?

This looks like a buyer’s market if you want to shop carefully and compare listings.

• Deal availability: 41.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 6,725 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.03% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 94.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $35,700, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Jeep Wrangler's resale value?

The current average of $35,700 sits slightly below last year's $42,517.

That price drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle. For a future seller, that also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, trim, and equipment rather than just model-year desirability.

Because the Wrangler still has strong identity and clear enthusiast appeal, well-kept examples should remain easier to move than more ordinary SUVs. Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Jeep Wrangler safe?

The 2025 Jeep Wrangler earns a four-star frontal-impact rating from NHTSA and a three-star rollover resistance rating. It also earns a Good rating for side-impact protection, a Good rating in the updated moderate overlap frontal-impact test, and a Marginal rating in the small overlap frontal-impact test.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

The Wrangler includes standard side curtain airbags for the front and rear seats, and Jeep offers blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, automatic high-beam headlights, and forward collision warning with automatic braking depending on trim and equipment. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are available on any Wrangler except the base Sport trim, while forward collision warning with automatic braking requires the Sahara.

The small overlap frontal-impact result is the main caveat to keep in mind, especially if safety is a top priority in your used-car search.

Should I buy a 2025 Jeep Wrangler or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 41.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.03% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• This year adds standard power windows and door locks across the lineup, plus the return of the V6/automatic drivetrain.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $36,427, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $35,700 average.
• It adds a more modern feel while broadening appeal with updated technology, safety, and refinement.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds an enhanced hinge system that makes the doors easier to remove.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the better primary pick if you want the strongest current pricing and a broad mix of inventory. If you are especially price-sensitive, the 2024 is worth comparing only if you find a cleaner or better-equipped example that justifies the higher average cost.
