Is the 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee L a good car?

The 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee L stands out because it brings Jeep’s familiar blend of capability and premium features into a three-row package. It is especially appealing if you want a family SUV with a more upscale feel than many mainstream rivals while still keeping the brand’s off-road identity intact.

For 2025, it uses a 3.6-liter V6 rated at 293 horsepower and 257 pound-feet of torque, and Jeep offers a wide range of trims from more affordable versions to luxury-oriented ones. Higher trims add fine leather, advanced technology, Active Driving Assist, and even a front passenger entertainment screen, so your experience can vary a lot depending on how the vehicle is equipped.

With 37.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful share of the market that may be worth a closer look.

Is the 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee L reliable?

The 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee L is part of the fifth-generation Grand Cherokee family, which arrived in late 2021, so you’re looking at a relatively new design. Its appeal comes from combining capability, comfort, and technology in one package rather than chasing the simplest formula.

Because the lineup spans everything from more basic trims to highly equipped versions, long-term ownership risk for used buyers depends heavily on how the vehicle was configured and maintained. A well-kept example should be easier to live with than one that was heavily optioned and poorly cared for.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee L?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and verify that the vehicle’s equipment matches the trim and options you want. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-trim example with more technology or four-wheel-drive hardware. Focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and how well the cabin and electronics have held up.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee L?

This looks like a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

If you find a listing below $38,335, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee L's resale value?

The current average of $38,335 sits slightly below last year's $42,473.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend more on condition, trim desirability, and how well the vehicle is equipped than on broad market momentum alone. If you keep the SUV clean, well maintained, and properly documented, you’ll be in a better position when it’s time to sell.

Should I buy a 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee L or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.74% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2025 is a strong choice if you want a three-row Jeep with a premium feel and a market that currently gives you some negotiating room. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, but the 2025 stands out as the better pick when you want a newer example with solid inventory and a meaningful share of good deals.
