How much does the 2025 Chevrolet Traverse cost?

Prices have softened 2.56% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Traverse a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Chevrolet Traverse earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.2/10 expert rating.

The standout strength is Technology at 10/10.

It stands out as one of the larger midsize three-row SUVs, with plenty of cargo space and a practical family-friendly layout. The trade-offs are the unpleasant engine note and some interior-quality concerns, plus a few usability frustrations.

The market also looks reasonably favorable, with 37.7% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Traverse reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Traverse’s appeal is reinforced by its strong utility, broad standard equipment, and family-focused design. Its expert evaluation also points to solid everyday usefulness, especially if you value space and technology.

The performance notes describe the powertrain as capable and quick when AWD is engaged, while also calling out the engine’s unrefined sound. Chevrolet also includes three years of access to Super Cruise with the Enhanced Driving Package, which adds convenience for long-distance driving.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that quality and refinement concerns may matter more as mileage and wear add up.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Chevrolet Traverse?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a thorough inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with added equipment. Pay close attention to interior condition, third-row operation, and how the controls feel in daily use.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The available trims include LT, Z71, High Country, and RS. The base LS trim is gone for this model year, and the Z71 is the off-road version with extra capability and rugged hardware.
• Powertrain: The Traverse uses a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque. It can spin the front tires in FWD mode, while AWD improves acceleration and control.
• Safety package: Chevrolet Safety Assist and Safety Package 1 bring adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, active blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, intersection braking, rear automatic braking, automatic high-beam headlights, pedestrian and cyclist detection, and a Safety Alert Seat. Higher packages add a surround-view camera, traffic sign recognition, rear pedestrian alert, Super Cruise, and remote parking.
• Infotainment: The standard 17.7-inch touchscreen includes Google Built-in, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging, Alexa compatibility, OnStar connected services, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. An 11-inch digital instrument panel is also standard.
• Fuel efficiency: The test vehicle returned 21 mpg in combined driving, and the model is described as having good fuel economy for the segment.

Which 2025 Chevrolet Traverse trim should I buy?

The 2025 Chevrolet Traverse is offered in 4 trim levels: LT, Z71, High Country, and RS.

Here's the short version:

• LT: This is the most straightforward choice if you want the Traverse’s core strengths without paying for the more specialized trims. It gives you the roomy three-row layout, strong tech, and broad standard safety equipment.
• Z71: This is the best-value trim if you want the extra capability and rugged character. It adds off-road-oriented suspension, all-terrain tires, skid plate protection, red tow hooks, a more capable AWD system, Terrain mode, and hill descent control.
• High Country: This is the upscale new trim for 2025, aimed at buyers who want a more premium version of the Traverse.
• RS: This is the sportier-looking trim, for shoppers who want the most style-focused version of the lineup.

Chevrolet’s standard safety package is generous across the lineup, while the Enhanced Driving Package adds Super Cruise and remote-parking technology.

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market.

• Deal availability: 37.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,773 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.56% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 93.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $39,009, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Chevrolet Traverse's resale value?

The current average of $39,181 sits slightly below last year's $40,212.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become a bit more favorable for buyers, which can make future resale a little more competitive for sellers. If you buy well and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you may be better positioned than someone who pays near the top of the range. The Traverse’s broad appeal and strong technology help support demand, even if value retention is not especially strong right now.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Chevrolet Traverse or consider a different year?

• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.56% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 adds a new High Country trim and standard Trailering Package.

Consider the 2024 if:
