Used 2024 Toyota Tundra for Sale near Kansas

How much does the 2024 Toyota Tundra cost?

Prices have softened 7.25% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 5,119 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing trims and prices.

Is the 2024 Toyota Tundra a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Toyota Tundra earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.2/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Performance at 8/10.

The Tundra stands out as a large, Texas-built full-size pickup that leans into capability and character. It offers a powerful drivetrain, a TRD Pro setup that improves ride and handling, and an open-air driving experience that gives it more personality than many rivals.

The trade-offs are real: it cannot match the segment leader for towing and payload, and it offers less configuration diversity than some competitors. The design may be polarizing, forward visibility is poor, and the interior materials feel cheap.

With 34.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have room to shop carefully and target value.

Is the 2024 Toyota Tundra reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Toyota’s reputation for dependability is a major part of the Tundra’s appeal, and the truck also comes with complimentary scheduled maintenance visits to your dealership. The expert review also points to Toyota’s long-term durability as a key selling point, even while noting that the third-generation truck’s long-term track record is still being established.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that you’re still evaluating a relatively new generation, so condition and maintenance history matter.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Toyota Tundra?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, and focus on how the truck has been used and maintained. Pay close attention to cabin condition, visibility-related wear, and whether the features you want are included on the specific trim you’re considering.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Tundra comes in SR, SR5, Limited, Platinum, 1794 Edition, 1794 Limited Edition, TRD Pro, and Capstone. Base-trim buyers should watch for feature gaps, since blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and parking sensors with automatic braking require an option package on SR5 or a Limited trim or higher.
• Powertrain: Every trim uses a twin-turbocharged 3.4-liter V6, with rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive available. i-Force Max versions add a hybrid version of the V6 with standard 4WD.
• Safety package: Every 2024 Tundra has Toyota Safety Sense 2.5, which includes adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, a road-sign recognition system, and automatic high-beam headlights.
• Infotainment: The TRD Pro has a 12.3-inch digital instrumentation panel and a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto are standard, and the truck also includes wireless smartphone charging.
• Fuel efficiency: The TRD Pro averaged 17.1 mpg in testing, and the EPA said it should return 19 mpg in combined driving.

Which 2024 Toyota Tundra trim should I buy?

The 2024 Toyota Tundra is offered in 8 trim levels: SR, SR5, Limited, Platinum, 1794 Edition, 1794 Limited Edition, TRD Pro, and Capstone.

Here's the short version:

• SR: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the Tundra’s core capability at the lowest starting point, but you should expect the fewest features.
• SR5: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it opens the door to more equipment, and it can be paired with an option package for blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and parking sensors with automatic braking.
• Limited: This is the trim to target if you want a more complete feature set without jumping all the way to the upper luxury-oriented models.
• Platinum: Choose this if you want a more upscale Tundra with more comfort and convenience content.
• 1794 Edition: This is for buyers who want a more distinctive, premium-feeling truck with extra character.
• 1794 Limited Edition: This is the more exclusive version of the 1794 theme, aimed at shoppers who want added distinction.
• TRD Pro: This is the one to buy if you want the strongest off-road hardware and the best ride-and-handling balance in the lineup.
• Capstone: This is the top-end choice if you want the most luxurious Tundra experience.

To get blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and parking sensors with automatic braking, you’ll need to add an option package to the SR5 or move up to a Limited or higher trim.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Toyota Tundra?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it pays to compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 5,119 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.25% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 91.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $44,127, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Toyota Tundra's resale value?

The current average of $44,127 sits slightly below last year's $47,574.

That softer pricing can help you buy more carefully now, but it also means future sellers may face a more competitive market if prices continue to ease. If demand stays steady, the Tundra’s reputation for dependability should help support used values better than a truck with a weaker ownership reputation.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Toyota Tundra safe?

The 2024 Toyota Tundra earns a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS and five-star ratings across the board from NHTSA, with a four-star rollover resistance rating.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Every 2024 Tundra has Toyota Safety Sense 2.5, which includes adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, a road-sign recognition system, and automatic high-beam headlights. To get blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and parking sensors with automatic braking, you’ll need an option package on the SR5 or a Limited trim or higher.

The main caveat is the Poor rating in the updated moderate overlap frontal-impact test that measures rear-seat passenger protection, and lane-centering assist can be inconsistent in some driving conditions.

Should I buy a 2024 Toyota Tundra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.25% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The TRD Pro delivers strong ride and handling with open-air driving appeal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $42,107, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $44,127 average.
• It keeps the redesigned Tundra formula with only minor changes.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $48,366, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $44,127 average.
• It adds new tech features and a retro TRD Rally Package.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of current pricing, strong satisfaction, and broad availability, the 2024 is the primary pick. If you’re focused on saving money, the 2023 is the smarter value play; if you want newer tech and can spend more, the 2025 is worth a look.
