Used 2024 Toyota Sequoia for Sale nearGrand Rapids, MI

How much does the 2024 Toyota Sequoia cost?

Prices have softened 8.49% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,364 listings available, which gives you a solid pool to compare before you buy.

Is the 2024 Toyota Sequoia a good car?

Yes — it earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 10/10.

The 2024 Toyota Sequoia is built for you if you want a full-size SUV that blends seating capacity, towing strength, and fuel efficiency in a way that stands out in its class. The standard hybrid powertrain is a major part of that appeal, and the tech updates are described as easy to use and widely celebrated.

The main trade-offs are space-related: the third row is cramped and cargo room is limited. Those compromises matter most if you need maximum passenger and luggage space, but they are easier to accept if you value the Sequoia’s hybrid efficiency and towing focus.

Good and great deals account for 33.2% of listings, so there is still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Toyota Sequoia reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Sequoia’s appeal is reinforced by Toyota’s reputation for long-term reliability, and the standard hybrid setup is presented as a durable, modern powertrain choice. The expert summary also emphasizes that the redesign brought a more advanced SUV with a strong feature set, which supports confidence in day-to-day ownership.

Toyota’s three-year/36,000-mile comprehensive warranty and five-year/60,000-mile powertrain coverage add another layer of reassurance. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is not mechanical complexity so much as living with the packaging compromises if you need more space than this SUV comfortably provides.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Toyota Sequoia?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a higher-mileage example or one that has been used for towing. Focus your inspection on interior wear, cargo-area condition, and whether the third row and rear storage meet your needs in real life.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base SR5 uses fabric seating surfaces, while SofTex is available on SR5 and standard on Limited and TRD Pro; leather is standard on Platinum, and the Capstone adds semi-aniline leather plus more chrome brightwork. If you want the most premium feel, the upper trims stand out, but the base trim already includes a strong standard equipment set.
• Powertrain: The Sequoia uses Toyota’s iForce MAX hybrid powertrain with a twin-turbo V6 and electric motor, and it is the only hybrid in its class. It is rated at 437 horsepower and 583 lb-ft of torque, with 20 mpg combined in 4WD form.
• Safety package: Every trim gets Toyota Safety Sense 2.5, including pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, lane-departure alert with steering assist, adaptive cruise control, and road-sign recognition. Front and rear parking sensors with automatic braking, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and Trailer Merge Warning are also standard.
• Infotainment: Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard. SR5 uses an 8-inch touchscreen, while every other trim gets a 14-inch center touchscreen; the full-color 12.3-inch driver display and Panoramic View monitor are standard.
• Fuel efficiency: The Sequoia is rated at 20 mpg combined with 4WD.

Which 2024 Toyota Sequoia trim should I buy?

The 2024 Toyota Sequoia is offered in 5 trim levels: SR5, Limited, Platinum, TRD Pro, Capstone.

Here's the short version:

• SR5: This is the value play if you want the Sequoia’s standard hybrid powertrain, standard safety suite, and the strongest towing capability in the lineup. It also gives you the lowest entry price, though you give up the larger touchscreen and some of the more upscale cabin touches found higher up.
• Limited: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a more upscale feel while keeping the core Sequoia strengths intact. You get the larger 14-inch touchscreen, and SofTex is standard here, making it a smart middle ground if you want more comfort without jumping to luxury pricing.
• Platinum: Choose this if you want a more premium cabin and more standard convenience features. Leather is standard, the panoramic moonroof is standard, and the 14-speaker JBL audio system is standard, so it feels like a clear step up in everyday comfort.
• TRD Pro: This is the trim to consider if you want the most adventure-ready setup. It is available only with 4WD and includes a part-time system with 4Hi, 4Lo, and 2WD, plus a skid plate.
• Capstone: This is the top luxury-oriented choice, with semi-aniline leather, more chrome brightwork, a standard panoramic moonroof, and standard JBL audio. It suits you best if you want the most upscale Sequoia experience.

The Tow Technology Package is available on SR5 and Limited, and standard on the higher three trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Toyota Sequoia?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting a deep buyer’s market.

• Deal availability: 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,364 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.49% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 92.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $65,011, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Toyota Sequoia's resale value?

The current average of $65,011 sits slightly below last year's $71,039.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle. For a future seller, that also means resale value may depend more on condition, mileage, and trim desirability than on broad market momentum alone.

Because the Sequoia has strong owner satisfaction and a distinctive hybrid setup, well-kept examples should continue to attract interest. The trims with stronger equipment and cleaner histories are likely to be the easiest to move later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Toyota Sequoia safe?

The 2024 Toyota Sequoia has not been rated by IIHS or NHTSA.

It earns a 10/10 safety score from our experts.

Every trim comes standard with Toyota Safety Sense 2.5, including pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, lane-departure alert with steering assist, adaptive cruise control, and road-sign recognition. You also get front and rear parking sensors with automatic braking, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and Trailer Merge Warning.

The Tow Technology Package adds a digital rearview mirror and trailer backup guide with Straight-Path Assist. It is available on SR5 and Limited, and standard on the higher three trims.

Should I buy a 2024 Toyota Sequoia or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.49% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 adds a standard hybrid powertrain with strong towing and easy-to-use tech.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $60,334, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $65,011 average.
• It introduced the redesigned hybrid Sequoia with modern tech and standard safety.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $70,502, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $65,011 average.
• It adds the 1794 Edition, a Texas-themed luxury model.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, features, and market availability, the 2024 is the strongest all-around pick. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2023 is the better value path, while the 2025 makes sense if you want the newer luxury-oriented trim angle.
