Used 2025 Toyota Sequoia for Sale nearGrand Rapids, MI

How much does the 2025 Toyota Sequoia cost?

Prices have softened 9.12% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,378 listings available, which suggests you have a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Toyota Sequoia a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Toyota Sequoia earns a 4.5/5 user rating and a 5.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel and Technology.

It stands out as a full-size SUV with a stylish design, a powerful engine, and easy-to-use technology. Toyota also gives you the 1794 Edition, a Texas-themed luxury trim that adds extra appeal to the lineup.

The trade-offs are clear: the third row is cramped, cargo space is limited for the class, and fuel economy is poor. That means the Sequoia makes the most sense if you want a large SUV that can tow and haul, rather than one that maximizes everyday packaging efficiency.

36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Toyota Sequoia reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Sequoia is built around Toyota’s truck-based hardware and uses the same i-Force Max hybrid powertrain as the Tundra, which supports its reputation for robust mechanical underpinnings. The expert review also describes the hybrid setup as muscular and quick, with competitive power for towing and hauling.

Toyota’s ownership experience is helped by the availability of connected services and features such as remote engine starting and automatic collision notification. If you plan to keep the vehicle for the long haul, the main ownership risk is that its packaging compromises and truck-like ride may matter more over time than its strong powertrain.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Toyota Sequoia?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the SUV has been used for towing or long-distance family travel. Focus on the condition of the third row, cargo area, brakes, and any signs of heavy wear from hauling or trailering.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes SR5, Limited, Platinum, TRD Pro, Capstone, and the 1794 Edition. The 1794 Edition adds machined-finish 20-inch wheels, more exterior chrome, Saddle Tan leather upholstery, open pore American walnut wood trim, and all-weather floor mats, while the base trim is more straightforward.
• Powertrain: The Sequoia uses an i-Force Max hybrid setup with a twin-turbocharged 3.4-liter V6, an electric motor, a nickel metal hydride battery pack, and a 10-speed automatic transmission. It delivers strong acceleration and a terrific engine note, but it is not tuned for good gas mileage.
• Safety package: Every 2025 Sequoia has Toyota Safety Sense 2.5, which includes adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, lane-centering assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are also standard.
• Infotainment: The Sequoia can be equipped with a 12.3-inch digital instrumentation panel and a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and the system supports over-the-air-connected services through subscriptions.
• Fuel efficiency: The expert review says the Sequoia should average 20 mpg in combined driving with 4WD, though the test vehicle returned 16.2 mpg on the evaluation loop.

Which 2025 Toyota Sequoia trim should I buy?

The 2025 Toyota Sequoia is offered in 6 trim levels: SR5, Limited, Platinum, TRD Pro, Capstone, 1794 Edition.

Here's the short version:

• SR5: This is the entry point if you want the Sequoia’s core towing and passenger-hauling ability without paying for luxury extras. It makes sense if you care more about capability than cabin upgrades.
• Limited: This is the trim to target if you want a better balance of equipment and value. It should be the best-value choice for many shoppers because it adds more comfort and convenience without pushing too far up the price ladder.
• Platinum: Step here if you want a more upscale feel and more premium equipment than the lower trims. It is the right fit if you want the Sequoia to feel more refined for daily use.
• TRD Pro: Choose this if you want the most rugged-looking version in the lineup and plan to lean into the SUV’s truck-based character. It suits buyers who want a more adventurous appearance and hardware.
• Capstone: This is the trim for shoppers who want the most upscale presentation in the standard lineup. It is the natural pick if you want the Sequoia to feel as premium as possible.
• 1794 Edition: This is the style-focused luxury trim, with Saddle Tan leather, walnut wood trim, and extra chrome. It is the best fit if you want the most distinctive cabin and a Texas-themed personality.

Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 is standard across the lineup, so you do not need to move up a trim just to get the core driver-assistance suite.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Toyota Sequoia?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find opportunities.

• Deal availability: 36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,378 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.12% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 93.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $69,780, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Toyota Sequoia's resale value?

The current average of $69,780 sits slightly below last year's $76,786.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more favorably now but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the current trend means you should expect value retention to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment rather than broad market momentum.

The Sequoia’s strong towing capability and premium trims can help support demand among shoppers who need a full-size SUV with truck-based hardware. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Toyota Sequoia safe?

The 2025 Sequoia earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

Every 2025 Sequoia has Toyota Safety Sense 2.5, which includes adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, lane-centering assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are also standard.

The expert review notes that the lane-assist features can be aggravating, with false lane departure warnings and lane keep assist that can feel too obvious in operation. That means you get a broad standard safety suite, but you should still test those systems on your own drive to see whether they suit your preferences.

Should I buy a 2025 Toyota Sequoia or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.12% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 1794 Edition adds a Texas-themed luxury trim with extra visual and cabin appeal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $64,338, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $69,780 average.
• It introduced the standard hybrid powertrain and brought improved towing and hauling with strong efficiency.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It keeps the hybrid system’s strong power while remaining the most efficient vehicle in the class outside expensive diesels.

The bottom line: If you want the freshest used Sequoia with strong inventory and a softer price trend, the 2025 is the primary target. If your priority is saving money, the 2024 is the smarter value play, especially if you can live with the same basic packaging compromises.
