CarGurus Analysis: 2024 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid
Summary
With 5,081 currently listed for sale and an average price of $34,744, 40.8% of 2024 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid listings on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2024 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid 5 / 5 stars.
88.3% of 2024 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid listings on CarGurus are accident free.
Why it stands out
The 2024 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid stands out because it blends Toyota’s SUV know-how with hybrid efficiency in a compact package that has become one of the brand’s most important offerings. By this generation, it had grown slightly larger than its predecessor and adopted a tougher, more angular look, while the hybrid system pairs a 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder engine with an electric motor for each axle and a CVT automatic transmission. It also uses on-demand all-wheel drive, sending power to the rear motor only when extra traction is needed. The result is a hybrid SUV that feels more capable and more polished than the early version, with 219 horsepower and a combined 39 mpg.
For buyers, the appeal is not just efficiency but also equipment and everyday usability. The 2024 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid benefits from a more advanced multimedia system with a larger touchscreen, Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant capability, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. Toyota Safety Sense is standard, bringing automatic braking with pedestrian detection, radar cruise control, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Road Sign Assist, and Lane Tracing Assist. The trim range is broad, and the lineup includes versions with features such as dual-zone climate control, LED headlights, SofTex upholstery, an 11-speaker JBL audio system, and a more rugged Woodland Edition with TRD-tuned suspension and all-terrain tires.
Its strengths are clear: strong fuel economy, useful performance, and a practical, well-built interior. The main drawbacks are that the infotainment system still is not cutting-edge and the cargo area is smaller than some rivals’. Even so, the 2024 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid remains appealing because it delivers the kind of sensible, dependable ownership experience many compact SUV shoppers want, while adding enough efficiency and technology to feel thoroughly modern.

Is the 2024 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid a good car?
Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2024 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid. It pairs Toyota SUV practicality with hybrid efficiency in a compact SUV package, and it brings useful performance without giving up fuel economy. You also get a technology-rich setup with a larger touchscreen, smartphone compatibility, and standard driver-assistance features, while the broad trim range lets you choose between value and more premium equipment. With 39.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.
Is the 2024 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid reliable?
Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The 2024 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid is described as practical, well-built, and efficient, with Toyota Safety Sense standard and a reputation for reliability. That combination points to a used SUV that should be relatively reassuring to own if you keep up with routine maintenance. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is buying a neglected example, so condition and service history matter more than mileage alone.
What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid?
Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
You should start with a history report to confirm the car’s accident and title background, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection if anything looks inconsistent. Focus on overall condition, especially signs of wear that could suggest hard use or skipped maintenance. Since the infotainment system and cargo space are noted drawbacks, make sure those areas still meet your expectations during the test drive.

What is the 2024 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid's resale value?
The current average of $34,853 sits slightly above last year's $34,490.
That modest increase suggests the market still values this model year well, which is a positive sign if you plan to resell later. A stable price trend can help support your ownership costs because the vehicle is not losing value sharply. Strong demand for efficient, practical SUVs also tends to help keep used prices firmer over time.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2024 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2024 if:
- 39.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
- Price trend: Prices are up 1.05% year-over-year.
- Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
Consider the 2023 if:
- At $33,739, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $34,853 average.
- It offers strong fuel efficiency and a straightforward, comfortable driving experience.
The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2024 if you want the stronger current-market mix of demand, inventory, and owner satisfaction. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2023 is the better value play, especially if you find one in excellent condition with the features you want.
