What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Toyota Highlander?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with the history report to confirm accident status, title status, and maintenance patterns before you get too far into the process. After that, prioritize a thorough inspection of the suspension, steering feel, cabin wear, and infotainment operation, since comfort and usability are central to this model’s appeal. Focus on overall condition and how the vehicle has been used, because a well-kept example is more likely to deliver the ownership experience you want.

What is the 2024 Toyota Highlander's resale value?

The current average of $39,235 sits slightly below last year's $39,395.

That small decline suggests the market has stayed relatively stable, which is a good sign if you plan to sell later. A price move this modest usually points to steady demand rather than sharp depreciation, so you are not looking at a model year that has suddenly fallen out of favor. Because the Highlander also has a strong satisfaction reputation, it should remain appealing to used shoppers who want a practical family SUV.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Toyota Highlander or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a comfort-focused, practical midsize SUV with strong owner satisfaction and a stable used market, the 2024 is the primary year to target. If you are more price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2024’s combination of inventory, condition, and market stability.
