What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Toyota Highlander Hybrid?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on every listing, even if the market looks clean overall. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that checks the hybrid system, brakes, tires, and suspension, since those are the areas where condition matters most on a used family SUV. Focus on cabin wear, cargo-area use, and how well the second and third rows function, because this model is often chosen for family duty.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled enough to give you a better entry point than a year ago. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Toyota Highlander Hybrid or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.85% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $39,500, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $43,726 average.
• It offers an accessible base price and strong fuel economy.

The bottom line: If you want the newer model-year pricing context, stronger current-market deal availability, and a well-equipped family SUV, the 2024 is the better primary target. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2023 is the better value-focused alternative.
