How much does the 2024 Jeep Wrangler cost?

Prices have softened 13.17% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 7,338 listings available, which suggests solid inventory availability for shoppers comparing trims and conditions.

Is the 2024 Jeep Wrangler a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Jeep Wrangler earns a 4.5/5 user rating and a 7.8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Technology.

Drivers consistently praise its off-road capability, rugged style, and manual transmission option. The overview also points to a vehicle that keeps its distinctive character while adding a more modern feel, updated technology, and broader appeal. On the trade-off side, the expert review calls out poor ride quality on pavement and notes that advanced safety features are not standard.

With 39.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a reasonably active market to shop from.

Is the 2024 Jeep Wrangler reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback highlights the Wrangler’s off-road capability and rugged character, and it also points to a vehicle that drivers feel good about living with over time. The expert review reinforces that sense of durability by emphasizing its purpose-built, trail-ready nature and its broad range of powertrain choices.

Jeep also backs the Wrangler with a 3-year/36,000-mile basic limited warranty and a 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty, which helps reduce early ownership risk. For used buyers, the bigger concern is less about basic dependability and more about whether the vehicle has been used hard off-road or modified heavily.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Jeep Wrangler?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the Wrangler has seen trail use or aftermarket changes. Focus on signs of underbody wear, suspension damage, tire condition, and any evidence of hard off-road driving. It’s also worth checking that the cabin electronics, roof components, and removable-door hardware all work as intended.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Willys trim adds Offroad+ mode, 33-inch tires, a rear locking differential, and rock rails, while the Rubicon models bring more serious capability and available factory winch support. Base-oriented models can miss locking differentials and the most capable hardware, so you should compare equipment carefully before you buy.
• Powertrain: You can choose from a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, a plug-in hybrid version of that engine, a 3.6-liter V6, or a 6.4-liter V8. The 4xe stands out for its all-electric torque and 21 miles of all-electric range, while the V6 can be paired with a six-speed manual.
• Safety package: Forward collision warning is standard on all but the base model, while blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and park assist are optional on most trims. There is no lane-keeping assist, lane-follow, or similar highway-assist feature available.
• Infotainment: Every model gets a 12.3-inch center screen with Uconnect5, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and over-the-air-friendly modern software behavior. Navigation is optional.
• Fuel efficiency: The 4xe delivers 21 miles of all-electric range, and the broader lineup includes efficiency trade-offs depending on engine choice. The expert review also notes that the 4xe is the most efficient-feeling option in the range.

Which 2024 Jeep Wrangler trim should I buy?

The 2024 Jeep Wrangler is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, Sahara, Willys, Rubicon.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, but you should expect the fewest standard features and the most obvious equipment gaps versus the better-equipped trims. It makes sense if you want the lowest starting point and plan to build from there.
• Sahara: This is the more comfort-oriented choice in the lineup, and it suits you if you want Wrangler style with a more everyday-friendly setup.
• Willys: This is the best-value trim. It adds Offroad+ mode, 33-inch tires, a rear locking differential, and rock rails, giving you a strong capability upgrade without jumping all the way to the most expensive models.
• Rubicon: This is the trim to choose if you want the most serious trail hardware in the standard lineup. It’s the right pick when off-road capability matters more than price.

Safety equipment still varies by trim, so you should verify which driver-assistance features are included before you commit.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Jeep Wrangler?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay disciplined.

• Deal availability: 39.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 7,338 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.17% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 92.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $36,097, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Jeep Wrangler's resale value?

The current average of $36,097 sits slightly below last year's $41,574.

That price decline suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more confidently now. For a future seller, it also means you should pay close attention to trim, condition, and equipment, because well-kept examples are more likely to stand out when the market is softer. The Wrangler’s strong enthusiast appeal should help support demand, but the best resale outcomes will likely go to vehicles with desirable features and clean histories.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Jeep Wrangler safe?

The 2024 Jeep Wrangler has not yet been rated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) nor the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

Jeep finally added first- and second-row side-curtain airbags for 2024, and forward collision warning is standard on all but the base model. Blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and park assist are optional on most trims, while the High Altitude and 392 models get more of that equipment standard. There is no lane-keeping assist or lane-follow feature available.

The main caveat is that advanced safety features are not standard, and the expert review also flags low safety scores as a weakness.

Should I buy a 2024 Jeep Wrangler or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 39.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.17% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 refresh adds updated technology, safety, and refinement while preserving the Wrangler’s rugged character.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $34,620, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $36,097 average.
• It emphasizes body-on-frame off-road focus with solid axles and a five-link suspension.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $35,476, the 2025 costs less than the current year's $36,097 average.
• It adds standard power windows and door locks, plus more configuration choices.

The bottom line: If you want the most up-to-date Wrangler experience, the 2024 is the better primary pick. If price matters most, the 2023 and 2025 both offer lower average asking prices, so you can save money without leaving the Wrangler formula entirely.

How does the 2024 Jeep Wrangler compare to the 2024 Ford Bronco?

Expert Pros & Cons (per CarGurus review team)

2024 Jeep Wrangler:

• Pros: Unparalleled off-road chops, Excellent infotainment, Improved tow rating.
• Cons: Poor ride quality on pavement, Advanced safety features are not standard, Low safety scores.

2024 Ford Bronco:

• Pros: Fun to drive, Comfortable, Plenty of cargo space.
• Cons: Poor fuel economy, No hybrid or plug-in hybrid option, Needs a cloth seat option.

Our experts score the 2024 Jeep Wrangler 7.8/10 and the 2024 Ford Bronco 6.8/10. The Wrangler is the stronger choice if you care most about off-road ability and updated infotainment. The Bronco looks better suited to everyday driving comfort and cargo needs, but it gives up the Wrangler’s hybrid option and trail-focused character. If you want the more capable and better-rated off-road machine, the Wrangler has the edge.
