Used 2024 Honda Passport for Sale nearGrand Rapids, MI

How much does the 2024 Honda Passport cost?

Prices have softened 4.90% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,895 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Honda Passport a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Honda Passport earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.2/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

The Passport’s appeal comes from its straightforward formula: a proven V6, easy-to-use technology, standard all-wheel drive, plenty of cargo space, and a comfortable ride. It is aimed at you if you want a practical, spacious, safe, and reliable crossover SUV rather than flashy styling or oversized screens.

The trade-offs are clear: it is not very fuel efficient, and pricing starts higher than the competition. Even so, 38.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Honda Passport reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Passport’s reliability case is built around its proven 3.5-liter V6, simple controls, and familiar, low-drama design approach. The expert review also points to a well-known engine with a long history, plus an unobtrusive nine-speed automatic that shifts cleanly and doesn’t draw attention to itself.

Honda’s standard all-wheel-drive system and traction-management modes add confidence for everyday use, and the model’s practical layout supports the kind of ownership experience many used buyers want. For long-term ownership, the main risk is that its higher fuel use and above-average starting price can make it less economical to live with than some rivals.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Honda Passport?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a higher-mileage example or one that has been used in rough weather. Focus on overall condition, tire wear, brake feel, and signs of heavy use, since the Passport’s appeal depends on its comfort, capability, and everyday usability.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Passport is offered in 3 trim levels: EX-L, TrailSport, and Black Edition. The EX-L is the least expensive, while the TrailSport adds genuine all-terrain tires, roof rails, and LED fog lights that the base EX-L does not get. The Black Edition adds the same roof rails and LED fog lights, plus an upgraded 10-speaker audio system. The TrailSport is the best-value choice if you want the most capability without moving to the top trim.
• Powertrain: Every 2024 Passport uses a naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6 with 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. It delivers strong acceleration for the class, and the transmission is described as impressively unobtrusive. Fuel economy is rated at 19 mpg city, 24 highway, and 21 combined.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, cross-traffic monitoring, and adaptive cruise control. That broad standard suite is a major plus, and you do not need to move up a trim to get it.
• Infotainment: The Passport uses an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard, along with Bluetooth connectivity and a wireless charging pad. The TrailSport and Black Edition trims add native navigation, and the Black Edition gets a 10-speaker audio system.
• Fuel efficiency: The Passport is rated at 19 mpg city, 24 highway, and 21 combined.

Which 2024 Honda Passport trim should I buy?

The 2024 Honda Passport is offered in 3 trim levels: EX-L, TrailSport, and Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• EX-L: This is the entry point, but it still comes with leather seats, a power moonroof, all-wheel drive, and the same 8-inch touchscreen as the higher trims. It makes sense if you want the Passport’s core strengths at the lowest price.
• TrailSport: This is the best-value trim if you want the Passport’s more adventurous side. It adds all-terrain tires, off-road-tuned suspension, roof rails, and LED fog lights, while keeping the Passport’s standard AWD and practical cabin. It is the trim that most clearly broadens the Passport’s personality.
• Black Edition: This is the most upscale version, with the same roof rails and LED fog lights as the TrailSport plus the upgraded 10-speaker audio system. Choose it if you want the most premium-feeling Passport and are willing to pay for it.

Honda’s standard safety suite is included on every trim, so you do not need to climb the lineup for the core driver-assistance features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Honda Passport?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 38.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,895 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.90% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $34,740, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Honda Passport's resale value?

The current average of $35,099 sits slightly below last year's $36,907.

That price movement suggests the Passport has softened enough to create a better buying window now, but it also means future sellers may need to be realistic about pricing. If you buy at the right number, you reduce the risk of taking a bigger hit later. The Passport’s practical appeal should help support demand, but its resale performance will still depend on condition, mileage, and how well it was maintained.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Honda Passport safe?

The 2024 Honda Passport earns an Acceptable rating in the passenger-side small overlap crash test from IIHS and a Marginal rating in the updated side-impact crash tests. It also earns five-star ratings overall from NHTSA, with four-star ratings in frontal crash and rollover tests.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, cross-traffic monitoring, and adaptive cruise control. That gives you a broad set of active safety features without needing to step up to a higher trim.

The main caveat is that the Passport’s crash-test results are not class-leading, so if top-tier test performance is your priority, you should weigh that carefully against its strong standard safety equipment.

Should I buy a 2024 Honda Passport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 38.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.90% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 refresh keeps the Passport focused on a proven engine, easy-to-use technology, and practical everyday usability.

The bottom line: If you want the Passport’s refreshed but still familiar formula, the 2024 is the right target because it combines standard AWD, a strong V6, and broad utility with a softer used-market price than last year. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also shop carefully for the best deal rather than paying up for a newer example, since the market already shows meaningful discounting.
