New & Used 2026 Honda Passport for Sale nearGrand Rapids, MI

How much does the 2026 Honda Passport cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 1,108 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2026 Honda Passport a good car?

Yes — you’re looking at a 5/5 user-rated SUV with an expert rating of 7.83/10. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

The 2026 Passport is a redesigned two-row SUV that moves into a more rugged, aspirational space while staying focused on practicality. It stands out for its spacious interior and cargo capacity, plus easy-to-use technology, so it fits you well if you want comfort and convenience without giving up utility.

The trade-offs are clear: it carries a high price tag, and it is not a hardcore off-roader because it still lacks a locking differential and low-range 4WD. Good and great deals account for 32.9% of listings, so there is some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 Honda Passport reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Passport’s appeal comes from being a well-rounded, practical SUV with a strong V6 powertrain and broad everyday usefulness. It is also positioned as more capable off-road than before, while still remaining comfortable and easy to live with.

Its powertrain is described as a naturally aspirated V6 that delivers terrific power with very little throttle input, and the transmission operates unobtrusively. Honda also emphasizes cleaner-engine progress, even though fuel economy does not improve much.

If you plan to keep one long term, the main ownership risk is that its premium pricing and modest fuel economy may make it less forgiving than some rivals over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Honda Passport?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a TrailSport or a higher-mileage example. Focus on overall condition, tire wear, and signs of hard use, since this model is positioned with more rugged intent than before.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Passport is sold in RTL, TrailSport, and TrailSport Elite trims. The RTL is the most straightforward choice, while the TrailSport trims add the more adventure-focused look and hardware; the TrailSport Elite is the most fully equipped version.
• Powertrain: Every trim uses Honda’s naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6 with a 10-speed automatic and standard all-wheel drive. The setup is tuned for strong, smooth power rather than maximum efficiency, and fuel economy is a weak point.
• Safety package: Honda Safety Sense is standard, with automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, traffic-jam assist, traffic-sign recognition, and low-speed braking control. There are no trim-level safety gaps mentioned.
• Infotainment: You get a 12.3-inch touchscreen with Google Built-in, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless phone charger, a Wi-Fi hotspot, four USB-C ports, and a 10.2-inch digital driver display. The TrailSport Elite adds a 12-speaker Bose stereo and TrailWatch camera system.
• Fuel efficiency: The RTL is rated at 19 mpg city, 25 highway, and 21 combined, while the TrailSport and TrailSport Elite are rated at 18/23/20.

Which 2026 Honda Passport trim should I buy?

The 2026 Honda Passport is offered in 3 trim levels: RTL, TrailSport, and TrailSport Elite.

Here's the short version:

• RTL: This is the value-oriented choice if you want the Passport’s core strengths — roomy cabin, strong V6 power, standard AWD, and the full tech and safety setup — without paying for the more adventure-focused extras. It also gets the quieter all-season tires, which should make it the easiest trim to live with day to day.
• TrailSport: This is the best-value trim if you want the Passport’s tougher personality. It adds the more off-road-focused hardware and styling, including skid plates and improved approach and departure angles, while keeping the same core powertrain and standard AWD.
• TrailSport Elite: This is the trim to choose if you want the most equipment. It adds the TrailWatch camera system and a 12-speaker Bose stereo, and it’s the one that best suits you if you want the most upscale and trail-friendly version of the Passport.

Honda Safety Sense is standard across the lineup, so you do not need to move up a trim just to get the core driver-assistance suite.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 Honda Passport?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find decent opportunities.

• Deal availability: 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,108 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 93.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $46,176, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2026 Honda Passport's resale value?

The current average of $46,883 sits slightly below last year's $47,314.

That small decline suggests the Passport is holding value fairly steadily rather than swinging sharply in either direction. For you, that means the market is stable enough to shop with confidence, but not so hot that you should expect prices to keep climbing.

Because the Passport has broad usefulness, strong owner satisfaction, and a clear identity as a roomy, capable SUV, it should continue to attract buyers when it’s time to sell. The current pricing trend also suggests future depreciation may remain manageable rather than steep.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2026 Honda Passport safe?

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Safety Sense is standard, and it includes automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, traffic-jam assist, traffic-sign recognition, and low-speed braking control. The Passport also comes with eight standard airbags.

A key caveat is that crash testing for this model year has not yet been completed, so you should treat the safety picture as promising but still unfinished. The previous-generation Passport did not earn a Top Safety Pick from IIHS and posted weaker NHTSA results, which is why the new model’s pending test results matter.

Should I buy a 2026 Honda Passport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2026 model is a redesigned two-row SUV with a more rugged, aspirational identity and a much more modern interior and tech setup.

The bottom line: If you want the newest Passport with the most up-to-date design, tech, and rugged positioning, the 2026 is the one to target. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still make sense, but the 2026 gives you the clearest expression of the Passport’s new direction.
