Used 2024 Honda Passport for Sale near Michigan

How much does the 2024 Honda Passport cost?

Prices have softened 5.03% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,850 listings available, which suggests you should have a solid range of options to compare.

Is the 2024 Honda Passport a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Honda Passport earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.2/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

It takes a restrained approach in a crowded midsize SUV segment, leaning on a proven engine and easy-to-use technology instead of flashy styling or oversized screens. That makes it a practical fit if you want plenty of cargo space, a comfortable ride, and standard all-wheel drive without a complicated learning curve.

The trade-offs are that it is not very fuel efficient and its pricing starts higher than the competition. Even so, the Passport’s mix of space, comfort, capability, and straightforward personality should appeal if you value usefulness over flash.

36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Honda Passport reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Passport is described as practical, spacious, safe, and reliable, with a proven V6 powertrain and a nine-speed automatic that shifts unobtrusively. Its straightforward design and standard all-wheel drive also support the sense that it is built for everyday use rather than novelty.

Honda’s maintenance coverage includes the first scheduled maintenance visit on the house, which is a nice ownership perk if you’re comparing long-term costs. For used buyers, the main risk is less about complexity and more about finding a well-kept example that has been maintained consistently.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Honda Passport?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one that has seen winter use. Focus on overall condition, tire wear, and signs of hard use, since the Passport’s appeal depends heavily on how well it has been kept.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Passport comes in EX-L, TrailSport, and Black Edition. Every trim gets leather seats, a power moonroof, identical touchscreens, and all-wheel drive, so the base setup is already well equipped. The TrailSport and Black Edition add roof rails and LED fog lights, while the TrailSport is the most rugged-looking choice.
• Powertrain: Every 2024 Passport uses a naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6 with 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. It is tuned for smooth, strong everyday acceleration rather than fuel economy, and the EPA rates it at 19 mpg city, 24 highway, and 21 combined.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, cross-traffic monitoring, and adaptive cruise control. That broad standard suite is a major plus, and there are no trim-level gaps in those core driver-assistance features.
• Infotainment: The Passport uses an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth connectivity, and a wireless charging pad. The screen is smaller than many rivals’, but the system is responsive and easy to use.
• Fuel efficiency: The Passport is rated at 19 mpg city, 24 highway, and 21 combined.

Which 2024 Honda Passport trim should I buy?

The 2024 Honda Passport is offered in 3 trim levels: EX-L, TrailSport, and Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• EX-L: This is the best-value choice if you want the Passport’s core strengths without paying for extra appearance or off-road hardware. You still get leather seats, a power moonroof, all-wheel drive, and the same basic infotainment and safety setup as the rest of the lineup.
• TrailSport: This is the trim to choose if you want the most rugged version. It adds all-terrain tires, an off-road-tuned suspension, roof rails, and LED fog lights, and it is the one tested in this review. It suits you best if you want the Passport’s capability-first personality.
• Black Edition: This is the most upscale-looking trim and adds the 10-speaker audio system mentioned in the tech review. It makes sense if you want the most premium-feeling Passport, but the content here points to the TrailSport as the more distinctive choice.

Honda Sensing is standard across the lineup, so you do not need to move up a trim for the core safety package.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Honda Passport?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,850 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.03% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $34,728, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Honda Passport's resale value?

The current average of $34,907 sits slightly below last year's $36,756.

That softer pricing suggests the Passport has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help if you buy now and plan to sell later. A lower entry price can reduce the amount of value you lose over your ownership period, especially if you choose a well-kept example.

The Passport’s practical appeal should also help it stay relevant with used buyers who want space, comfort, and standard all-wheel drive. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Honda Passport safe?

The 2024 Honda Passport earns an Acceptable rating in the passenger-side small overlap crash test and a Marginal rating in the updated side-impact crash tests from IIHS, and it earns five-star ratings overall from NHTSA, with four-star ratings in frontal and rollover crash tests.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, cross-traffic monitoring, and adaptive cruise control. That is a strong standard safety list, especially for a two-row SUV.

The main caveat is that the Passport’s crash-test results are not class-leading, so you should weigh its broad active-safety coverage against those weaker IIHS results.

Should I buy a 2024 Honda Passport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.03% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 refresh keeps the Passport simple, practical, spacious, and capable, while the TrailSport adds extra off-road hardware.

The bottom line: If you want the freshest version of the Passport with the same proven formula, the 2024 is the one to target. If you are mainly shopping on price, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, but the 2024’s softer pricing and strong inventory make it a sensible place to start.
