Is the 2024 GMC Hummer EV Pickup a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2024 GMC Hummer EV Pickup. The overview points to an electric truck built to stand out, with a four-door convertible body, a five-foot bed, four-wheel steering, and air suspension that can raise ground clearance to 16 inches in Extract Mode. It also emphasizes a very well-equipped cabin with features like a large touchscreen, Bose audio, Super Cruise, heated and cooled seats, and 360-degree cameras, which makes it appealing if you want a distinctive electric pickup with a lot of equipment and unusual capability. 29.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 GMC Hummer EV Pickup reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview describes a truck with serious off-road hardware, strong straight-line performance, and a richly equipped interior, but it also notes major tradeoffs such as extreme weight, very poor efficiency, and sub-par interior materials. For a used buyer, that means the biggest long-term ownership risk is less about basic appeal and more about whether the truck has been maintained carefully and whether its heavy-duty systems have aged well.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 GMC Hummer EV Pickup?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 97.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the truck’s condition matches its premium positioning. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the body, suspension, brakes, tires, and interior wear, since this is a very heavy vehicle with unusual hardware and a lot of expensive equipment. Focus especially on signs of hard use, because a truck this distinctive can attract buyers who use it more aggressively than a typical pickup.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 GMC Hummer EV Pickup?

What is the 2024 GMC Hummer EV Pickup's resale value?

The current average of $72,577 sits slightly below last year's $80,360.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy with less risk of overpaying. For a future seller, the softer pricing means resale value may depend more on condition, mileage, and how well the truck’s premium features hold up over time. Because this model has a distinctive personality and strong appeal to a niche audience, well-kept examples should still attract attention when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 GMC Hummer EV Pickup or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 29.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 97.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.69% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• It offers a similarly dramatic supertruck feel with roomy packaging and strong off-road appeal.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the better primary choice if you want the latest version with strong equipment, a favorable price trend, and a healthy pool of clean listings. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2023 can be worth a look because it delivers much of the same distinctive character and may open up additional savings.
