Is the 2024 BMW i7 a good car?

The 2024 BMW i7 is a flagship electric sedan that brings BMW’s luxury-sedan formula into an EV package. It stands out for blending traditional premium-car character with electric power, while still giving you the feel of a top-tier BMW rather than a purpose-built EV.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 BMW i7?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the car’s condition matches the listing details. A pre-purchase inspection is especially useful on a luxury EV like this, where you want to confirm overall condition, charging-related components, and any signs of prior damage. Focus on cosmetic wear, tire condition, and how well the car has been maintained.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 BMW i7?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully without rushing.

• Deal availability: 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 322 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 21.62% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 90.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $65,371, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 BMW i7's resale value?

The current average of $65,371 sits slightly below last year's $83,398.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you if you buy now and later resell into a steadier pricing environment. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that strong condition and clean history will matter more when the broader market has softened. If you keep mileage reasonable and maintain the car well, you’ll be better positioned to protect value.

Should I buy a 2024 BMW i7 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 21.62% compared with last year.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $59,437, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $65,371 average.
• The 2023 blends flagship luxury with EV appeal and strong comfort.

The bottom line:
You should start with the 2024 if you want the current-year market and a solid pool of listings to compare. If your priority is saving money, the 2023 is the better value path because it comes in below the 2024’s average price while still delivering the same core flagship-EV appeal.
