Is the 2024 BMW X6 a good car?

The 2024 BMW X6 stands out because it keeps the model’s original coupe-like SUV formula while adding the kind of performance and equipment that make it feel more special than a conventional midsize luxury crossover. BMW describes the X6 as a fastback design based on the X5, and this generation is the most like the original in its lowered stance, aggressive body kit, huge wheels, and sleeker roofline.

For 2024, it also received updated lighting with sequential turn signals, new fascias and bumpers, new wheels, more power for the xDrive40i, and an optional Highway Assistant for hands-free driving. It is a strong fit if you want a luxury SUV with a dramatic shape, strong powertrains, and a long list of upscale technology and performance features. 39.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 BMW X6 reliable?

The 2024 BMW X6 stands out because it combines a strong feature set with a familiar luxury-SUV formula, and its standard equipment includes two 12.3-inch displays, navigation, adaptive LED headlights, blind-spot monitors, forward emergency braking, lane-departure warning, and a panoramic moonroof.

It also offers adaptive dampers, rear-wheel steering, four-corner air suspension on all-wheel drive trims, and an Off-Road Package that can raise the car by 1.6 inches on the xDrive40i. For a used buyer, that means long-term ownership risk is tied less to the concept and more to how well the vehicle was maintained and how carefully those higher-end systems were cared for.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 BMW X6?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that checks the suspension, electronics, and any optional equipment on the specific vehicle you’re considering. Focus on overall condition, service history, and signs of prior damage or heavy use, especially because this model’s appeal depends so much on its premium hardware and features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 BMW X6?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay disciplined.

• Deal availability: 39.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 502 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.64% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 87.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $62,393, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 BMW X6's resale value?

The current average of $62,393 sits slightly below last year's $69,819.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you can reduce the impact of that depreciation. For a future seller, the key is to avoid overpaying now, because the current market is already pricing in a softer trend.

Should I buy a 2024 BMW X6 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 39.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.64% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the best fit if you want the refreshed look, updated lighting, added power for the xDrive40i, and the broader appeal of a newer model-year X6. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby year may make sense, but the 2024 gives you a strong mix of inventory, cleaner listings, and a softer price trend that can make it easier to find value.
