How much does the 2023 Porsche 911 cost?

Prices are up 1.71% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 1,186 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Porsche 911 a good car?

Yes — you get a 5/5 user rating and a 7.7/10 expert rating, which lines up with the 911’s strong blend of performance and livability. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

The 2023 Porsche 911 stands out as a polished sports car that still feels comfortable enough for everyday use, with premium interior materials reinforcing its upscale character. It also broadens its lineup with several new variants, so you can choose a version that leans more toward touring, track use, or a more elemental driving experience.

The trade-offs are clear: cargo space is limited, advanced safety features are not standard, and it is a poor value for the money. Even so, the 911’s core appeal is strong enough that those compromises may be acceptable if you want a rewarding, highly desirable sports car.

Only 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market is selective rather than bargain-heavy.

Is the 2023 Porsche 911 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2023 Porsche 911 is built around a long-evolved formula, and that steady development helps support confidence in how it should hold up over time. Its performance focus is paired with everyday drivability, which suggests you’re not buying something that is only enjoyable in narrow circumstances.

The base car includes frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking and lane-keep assist, while more advanced driver-assistance features are reserved for an optional package. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a premium sports car can be costly to keep in top condition.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Porsche 911?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially because this is a high-value sports car with a wide range of configurations. Focus on condition, maintenance records, and whether the car’s equipment matches the way you plan to use it.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup ranges from the base Carrera to more specialized variants, and the base car is the most approachable choice for everyday use. Higher trims add more performance focus, while the track-oriented versions trade comfort for sharper capability.
• Powertrain: The base rear-wheel-drive Carrera uses a 379-horsepower flat-six, while Carrera 4 models add all-wheel drive. The Carrera T keeps the same engine but adds weight-saving changes and a manual transmission for a more engaging feel.
• Safety package: Frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking and lane-keep assist are standard on the base Carrera. Adaptive cruise control, a surround-view camera system, and blind-spot monitoring are available with an optional package.
• Infotainment: The 10.9-inch touchscreen supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, with wireless CarPlay and wired Android Auto. The interface can be distracting to use because the screen sits low and the on-screen buttons are small.
• Fuel efficiency: No fuel-economy figure is stated in the provided data.

Which 2023 Porsche 911 trim should I buy?

The 2023 Porsche 911 is offered in 12 trim levels: Carrera, Carrera 4, Carrera T, Carrera S, Carrera GTS, Sport Classic, Turbo, Turbo S, GT3, GT3 RS, Dakar, and convertible variants referenced in the pricing data.

Here's the short version:

• Carrera: This is the best-value starting point if you want the core 911 experience without paying for extra specialization. It delivers the base 379-horsepower setup and is the most sensible choice for most buyers.
• Carrera 4: Choose this if you want the added traction of all-wheel drive. It builds on the base car’s formula while keeping the 911’s everyday usability intact.
• Carrera T: This is the enthusiast’s pick if you want a more involving drive. The manual transmission, lighter setup, and added performance touches make it the most compelling choice for drivers who value engagement.
• Carrera S: Step up here if you want more power and a stronger performance edge without jumping into the most extreme models. It adds meaningful capability while staying closer to the everyday side of the lineup.
• Carrera GTS: This is the sweet spot for buyers who want a stronger performance upgrade and are willing to pay for it. It sits in the middle of the range and adds a more serious performance character.
• Sport Classic: Pick this if you want the retro-inspired look and the stronger output that comes with it. It is more about exclusivity and character than pure practicality.
• Turbo: This is for buyers who want very high output and a more luxurious high-performance experience. It is powerful, but the data suggests it is less about the purest sports-car feel.
• Turbo S: Choose this if maximum straight-line performance matters most. It sits at the top of the turbocharged range.
• GT3: This is the right choice if track-focused driving is your priority. It is tuned more for high-performance cornering than comfort.
• GT3 RS: This is the most extreme performance option in the lineup. It is best for shoppers who care about track capability above all else.
• Dakar: Pick this if you want the rally-inspired outlier with lifted off-road suspension and all-terrain features. It is the most unusual 911 variant in the lineup.
• Convertible variants: These suit you if open-air driving matters more than maximum value or hardtop focus.

The base Carrera includes standard frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking and lane-keep assist, while more advanced driver-assistance features remain optional.

What is the 2023 Porsche 911's resale value?

The current average of $222,619 sits slightly above last year's $218,867.

That upward move suggests the market is still willing to pay for this model year, which is a positive sign if you plan to sell later. The 911’s strong desirability and broad appeal help support demand, especially for well-kept examples.

Because prices are already elevated, condition and configuration will matter a lot when it comes time to resell. A clean, well-maintained car should be easier to move than one with visible wear or a thin service history.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

The 2023 Porsche 911 has not published crash test evaluations from NHTSA or IIHS.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

The base Carrera includes frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking and lane-keep assist as standard equipment. Adaptive cruise control, a surround-view camera system, and blind-spot monitoring are available through an optional package, so you may need to shop carefully if you want more advanced assistance features.

Should I buy a 2023 Porsche 911 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.71% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 lineup expands with new variants like the Carrera T, GT3 RS, Sport Classic, and Dakar.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $217,583, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $222,619 average.
• It blends approachable performance with everyday drivability.

The bottom line: If you want the broader 2023 lineup and are comfortable paying a bit more, the 2023 is the better all-around target. If your priority is saving money and you still want the 911’s core strengths, the 2022 is the smarter value play.
