Used 2023 Kia Sportage SX FWD for Sale near Washington, DC

Overall Satisfied with this vehicle purchase but not thrilled. I have logged 8,000 miles since purchase in April 2022. The 2023 Kia Sportage handles well and generally has a comfortable ride. I choose the SX model to get the 18 wheels hoping it would ride better than the 19 wheels on the next level up. As most owners have noted, the standard 2.5L engine is no runner but it gets the job done if you dont feel the need to get up to speed quickly. The eight speed automatic transmission performs well most of the time but light accelerations (to save gas) going uphill from a stop occasionally caused the transmission to stumble or swap gears irregularly. I have seen this complaint from reviewers of Hyundia/Kia vehicles for several years now and dont understand why the Engineers cant fix this issue. The dual touch toggle control on the dash for HVAC and radio is annoying. I have accidentally turned up or down the temperature many times not realizing I was in a different control mode. I have trained myself to use the steering wheel controls for the radio so that helps some. I believe there was ample room in the lower dash area to have individual controls for both radio and HVAC. Gas mileage is close to the published EPA ratings if you drive with a light foot. I like the constant mpg display mpg on the dash but have found it to read about 10 percent higher than the actual mileage I calculate when I fill up. In other words if it shows 32 mpg since the last fill up, I am actually getting between 29 and 30 mpg. Most car manufacturers seem to stretch these display figures a bit unfortunately. Another complaint I have is this vehicle has a low frequency rumble/vibration I can both hear and feel at various speeds, 45 to 60 mph being the most notable. The local dealer has rebalanced the tires and has told me it is performing to the manufacturers specs and design? Too bad as my prior Volkswagen and my brothers Honda CRV dont have this annoying characteristic. Other than that I love the room and utility of the 2023 Sportage and it looks great! The dual 12 dash screens are bright and clear and provide just about anything a driver would need for driving.
