Used 2023 Honda Ridgeline for Sale nearSterling, VA

How much does the 2023 Honda Ridgeline cost?

Prices have softened 4.67% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,385 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Honda Ridgeline a good car?

Generally — the 2023 Honda Ridgeline earns 4.38/5 from owners and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, smooth ride, versatility, and useful storage space, and they also point to its modern safety features. The trade-offs are the outdated technology and infotainment system, plus the fact that it falls short on towing capacity and is not as capable as some rivals off-road. For you, that means it makes the most sense if you want a practical midsize truck that works well as a daily driver rather than a hard-use pickup. 38.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there are still some attractive opportunities in the market.

Is the 2023 Honda Ridgeline reliable?

Owners rate it 4.38/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with comfort and versatility showing up as recurring strengths. The truck’s practical layout and useful storage also support the sense that it is built to be easy to live with over the long term. Honda’s complimentary scheduled maintenance for the first two years or 24,000 miles adds a helpful ownership perk. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about basic durability and more about whether the truck’s aging technology and feature set will still meet your expectations.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Honda Ridgeline?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re shopping outside the cleanest listings. Focus on overall condition, because this truck’s appeal depends heavily on how well it has been maintained and whether its features still work as intended. If you want the best ownership experience, pay close attention to the cabin, electronics, and any signs of hard use.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Sport is the base model, and the lineup steps up through RTL, RTL-E, and Black Edition. The base trim is the one most likely to leave you wanting more equipment, while the higher trims add more comfort and convenience.
• Powertrain: Every version uses a 3.5-liter V6 with 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque, a nine-speed automatic transmission, and torque-vectoring all-wheel drive. It is tuned for refined on-road driving more than heavy-duty truck work.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are not standard on Sport and require stepping up to RTL.
• Infotainment: The standard setup uses an 8-inch touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto plus basic HondaLink services. RTL-E and Black Edition add navigation, a premium sound system, cargo bed speakers, and wireless smartphone charging.
• Fuel efficiency: The Ridgeline averaged 22.6 mpg on a road trip, and its official EPA ratings are 21 mpg combined and 24 mpg highway.

Which 2023 Honda Ridgeline trim should I buy?

The 2023 Honda Ridgeline is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, RTL, RTL-E, and Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, but it is also the trim most likely to feel stripped down if you care about convenience and driver-assistance features. It makes sense if you want the Ridgeline’s core ride quality and utility at the lowest starting point.
• RTL: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, which are notable gaps on Sport. If you want a more complete daily-driver setup without jumping to the pricier upper trims, this is the one to target.
• RTL-E: This trim adds navigation, a premium sound system, cargo bed speakers, and wireless smartphone charging. It suits you if you want more tech and convenience without going all the way to the top.
• Black Edition: This is the most upscale version, and it layers on the same added tech as RTL-E with a more distinctive appearance. It is the right pick if you want the most premium-feeling Ridgeline.

Honda Sensing is standard across the lineup, but blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert require moving up from Sport to RTL.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Honda Ridgeline?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it pays to compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 38.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,385 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.67% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 87.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $31,465, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Honda Ridgeline's resale value?

The current average of $31,465 sits slightly below last year's $33,007.

That softer pricing suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more confidently now. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend more on condition, mileage, and trim than on broad market momentum. If you keep the truck clean, well maintained, and well documented, you should be in a better position when it is time to sell. Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.38/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Honda Ridgeline safe?

The 2023 Ridgeline earns mostly favorable crash-test and safety ratings from IIHS, and it gets top marks in all NHTSA crash tests plus a four-star rollover resistance rating.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. The main safety gap is that blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are not standard on Sport and require stepping up to RTL. The system is effective overall, but the adaptive cruise control can be a little inconsistent in maintaining following distance.

Should I buy a 2023 Honda Ridgeline or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 38.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.67% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.38/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It delivers strong daily-driver comfort, practical storage, and good safety ratings.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $29,366, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $31,465 average.
• It offers the same sensible unibody formula with comfort and better on-road handling.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $34,568, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $31,465 average.
• It adds a TrailSport trim and several updates that make the truck feel more modern.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, comfort, and practicality, the 2023 is the sweet spot. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2022 is the better value play. If you want newer features and can spend more, the 2024 is worth a look.
