Used 2023 Honda Ridgeline for Sale nearColumbus, OH

How much does the 2023 Honda Ridgeline cost?

Prices have softened 5.72% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,245 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Honda Ridgeline a good car?

Generally — the 2023 Honda Ridgeline earns a 4.4/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, smooth ride, versatility, and useful storage space. The truck also stands out for its practical daily-driver character and modern safety features.

The main trade-offs are its outdated technology and infotainment system, along with limited appeal if you want maximum towing or serious off-road ability. That makes it a strong fit if you want a midsize truck for modest tasks and everyday use rather than traditional truck toughness.

Good and great deals make up 36.1% of the market, so you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Honda Ridgeline reliable?

Owners rate it 4.4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction. The owner feedback also points to a reliable, trouble-free, and dependable ownership experience, with confidence that it can be a truck you can count on over the long term.

The expert review reinforces that impression by describing the Ridgeline as refined, comfortable, and well suited to everyday driving. Honda also includes two years or 24,000 miles of complimentary scheduled maintenance, which helps reduce early ownership costs.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about basic dependability and more about whether you can live with its older technology and its limits in towing and off-road use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Honda Ridgeline?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any listing you like, even if it looks clean on paper. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that checks the truck’s condition, especially if you plan to use it for hauling, commuting, or light off-road driving. Focus on how well the cabin, infotainment, and driver-assistance features work, since those are the areas most likely to shape your day-to-day satisfaction.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Sport is the base model, and it lacks the blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert that come on RTL and higher trims. The higher trims also add more upscale equipment, while the Black Edition brings the most premium presentation.
• Powertrain: Every version uses a V6 engine, a nine-speed automatic transmission, and torque-vectoring all-wheel drive. The setup is tuned for refined on-road driving and competitive efficiency rather than maximum truck capability.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are not standard on Sport.
• Infotainment: The truck uses an 8-inch touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus basic HondaLink services. RTL-E and Black Edition add navigation, a premium sound system, cargo bed speakers, and wireless smartphone charging.
• Fuel efficiency: The Ridgeline averaged 22.6 mpg on a road trip, and its official EPA ratings are 21 mpg combined and 24 mpg on the highway.

Which 2023 Honda Ridgeline trim should I buy?

The 2023 Honda Ridgeline is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, RTL, RTL-E, Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, but it also leaves out blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. It makes sense if you want the lowest starting price and can live with the simpler equipment.
• RTL: This is the best-value trim because it adds the safety features missing from Sport while keeping the Ridgeline’s core strengths intact. If you want the smartest balance of equipment and price, this is the one to target.
• RTL-E: This trim adds navigation, a premium sound system, cargo bed speakers, and wireless smartphone charging. Choose it if you want a more fully equipped cabin and use the truck as a long-distance daily driver.
• Black Edition: This is the most upscale version, with the most premium presentation and the same added tech features as RTL-E. It suits you best if you want the top trim and are willing to pay for it.

The safety-package gap on Sport is the key trim-level note to keep in mind.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Honda Ridgeline?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 36.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,245 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.72% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 85.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $30,897, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Honda Ridgeline's resale value?

The current average of $30,897 sits slightly below last year's $32,774.

That softer pricing suggests the Ridgeline is currently more buyer-friendly than it was a year ago. For a future seller, that means you may not see the same strong pricing environment that existed previously, especially if the market stays competitive.

Even so, the Ridgeline’s practical reputation and broad appeal can help support demand when you decide to sell. Well-kept examples should remain attractive to shoppers who want comfort, usability, and a truck that behaves more like an SUV.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Honda Ridgeline safe?

The 2023 Ridgeline earns mostly favorable crash-test and safety ratings from the IIHS, and it gets top marks in all NHTSA crash tests plus a four-star rollover resistance rating.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are not standard on Sport and require an upgrade to RTL.

One caveat is that the driver-assistance tech is not as smooth or refined as what you get in Honda’s newer models. The adaptive cruise control can also be a little inconsistent in maintaining distance.

Should I buy a 2023 Honda Ridgeline or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 36.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.72% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It delivers a practical, comfortable, and safety-minded take on the midsize truck formula.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $29,001, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $30,897 average.
• It emphasizes comfort, quietness, and everyday practicality.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $33,909, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $30,897 average.
• It adds a TrailSport trim and modernized tech.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, practicality, and current-market availability, the 2023 is the smart pick. If you’re especially price-sensitive, the 2022 is worth a look; if you want the newest updates, move to the 2024.
