Is the 2023 Honda Passport reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with drivers repeatedly calling out the Passport’s comfortable ride and strong performance. The same reviews also suggest it is a vehicle you can count on for everyday use, especially if you value a practical SUV with plenty of space. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about core reliability and more about finding a well-kept example with no hidden wear or history issues.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Honda Passport?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm the listing’s accident and title history before you move forward. After that, prioritize a thorough inspection of the interior and exterior condition, since comfort-focused SUVs can still show wear in high-use areas. It also makes sense to pay close attention to the features you care about most, especially if you want a clean, well-maintained example with no surprises.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Honda Passport?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 38.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,975 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.44% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 87.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $31,885, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Honda Passport's resale value?

The current average of $32,129 sits slightly below last year's $33,272.

That price movement suggests the Passport has softened a bit in the used market, which can help you as a buyer today but may temper short-term resale gains if you sell soon. Even so, the model’s strong owner satisfaction and practical appeal should help it stay relevant with shoppers who want a roomy, comfortable two-row SUV. If you buy well and keep the vehicle in good condition, you should be in a better position when it is time to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Honda Passport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 38.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.44% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $29,110, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $32,129 average.
• It adds a TrailSport trim and fresh updates.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $35,099, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $32,129 average.
• It keeps the simple formula with a refreshed, practical feel.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the best all-around choice if you want strong owner satisfaction, solid inventory, and a softer price trend. If your priority is spending less, the 2022 is the better value path; if you want the newer refresh and can pay more, the 2024 is the upgrade route.
