Is the 2023 Cadillac Escalade ESV a good car?

Generally — the 2023 Cadillac Escalade ESV earns a 4.3/5 user rating, which lines up with its role as a full-size luxury SUV built around space, presence, and high-end features. The overview points to a three-row cabin with plenty of room for passengers and cargo, plus a long-wheelbase body that gives you more space than the standard Escalade. It also brings a premium interior, bold styling, and a strong mix of technology and comfort features, so it fits best if you want a large luxury SUV that can carry people and luggage with ease. 37.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Cadillac Escalade ESV reliable?

The overview suggests a straightforward ownership picture: you get a large luxury SUV with strong engine choices, a 10-speed automatic transmission, and available rear-wheel or four-wheel drive. Its tradeoffs are also clear, especially its size and fuel economy, which can make day-to-day ownership more demanding than a smaller SUV. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is living with a very large, feature-rich vehicle whose running costs and complexity deserve careful attention.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Cadillac Escalade ESV?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report on every candidate, even if the listing looks clean at first glance. Put inspection priority on the vehicle’s condition, especially signs of heavy use, because this is a large luxury SUV that can rack up expensive wear if it has been neglected. Focus on how well the cabin, technology, and overall body condition have been maintained, since those areas matter most in a premium three-row SUV.

What is the 2023 Cadillac Escalade ESV's resale value?

The current average of $64,848 sits slightly below last year's $72,348.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you as a buyer today but may also mean future resale gains are more limited than they were a year ago. For a seller, the upside is that the Escalade ESV still sits in a desirable luxury segment with broad appeal to shoppers who want space and presence. If you keep the vehicle in strong condition and maintain it well, you should be in a better position to protect value when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.3/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Cadillac Escalade ESV or consider a different year?

Choose the 2023 if:

• 37.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.37% compared with last year.
