Is the 2023 Cadillac Escalade ESV a good car?

Generally — the 4.3/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction for a full-size luxury SUV. The 2023 Cadillac Escalade ESV is built around space, presence, and high-end features, with a three-row cabin, generous room for passengers and cargo, and a long-wheelbase layout that adds interior and luggage capacity over the standard Escalade. It also leans heavily into upscale equipment, including leather seating, premium materials, a bold exterior design, and available technology such as Cadillac’s three-OLED-screen infotainment setup, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and available Super Cruise. If you want a lavish three-row SUV and you value room and features more than efficiency, this model fits that use case well.

Is the 2023 Cadillac Escalade ESV reliable?

Owners rate it 4.3/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2023 Cadillac Escalade ESV’s appeal is rooted in its spacious cabin, premium materials, and high-end feature content, all of which suggest a vehicle designed to deliver a strong ownership experience when maintained properly. Its size and luxury focus also mean you should expect a more complex used-SUV ownership profile than you would with a simpler vehicle.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is paying for a large, feature-rich SUV without getting a clean, well-kept example in return.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Cadillac Escalade ESV?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with the history report to confirm accident status, title history, and service records before you get too far into a deal. After that, prioritize a thorough inspection of the cabin electronics, suspension behavior, and overall condition, since this model’s value is tied closely to its luxury equipment and how well it has been maintained. Focus especially on signs of wear that could undermine the premium experience you’re paying for.

The current average of $64,558 sits slightly below last year's $71,816.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more favorably now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that value retention will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been cared for. A clean, well-documented example should still attract attention because this model’s space and luxury positioning remain appealing to used buyers.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.3/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Cadillac Escalade ESV or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 35.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.11% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.3/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current pricing, inventory depth, and owner satisfaction, the 2023 is the primary year to target. If you’re especially price-sensitive, keep an eye on listings at the lower end of the range and compare condition carefully, since the best value will come from a clean example with strong history and the right equipment.
