Is the 2023 Audi A4 a good car?

Generally — the 2023 Audi A4 earns a 4/5 user rating, which points to solid overall appeal for used luxury-sedan shoppers. The overview describes it as a well-rounded compact luxury sedan with strong technology, available all-wheel drive, and a polished driving experience. Is the 2023 Audi A4 reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview suggests the A4’s appeal comes from its refined driving feel, modern technology, and available all-wheel drive, all of which can make it a reassuring used-car choice when maintained well. Its final-generation updates also point to a mature product with a polished cabin and a strong feature set.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright durability and more about making sure the car you choose has been cared for properly and still feels mechanically and electronically sound.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Audi A4?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the report carefully, because even a strong accident-free share does not guarantee the individual car you’re considering has a clean past. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on the drivetrain, electronics, and interior condition, since this model’s appeal depends heavily on its tech and overall refinement. Pay close attention to how the cabin functions and whether the car feels as polished as the overview suggests.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Audi A4?

What is the 2023 Audi A4's resale value?

The current average of $27,446 sits slightly below last year's $28,183.

That price movement suggests the A4 has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price today. A softer market can also make it easier for you to enter ownership without paying peak pricing, though resale value will still depend on condition, mileage, and equipment.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Audi A4 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 34.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.62% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $22,521, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $27,446 average.
• It feels impressively fresh and modern for its age.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market balance of price, inventory, and deal availability, the 2023 is the better all-around pick. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2022 is the smarter value play.
