Is the 2021 Audi A4 a good car?

Yes — the 4.8/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction, and the 2021 Audi A4’s appeal comes from its strong technology, available all-wheel drive, and well-rounded driving character. The model also offers a more powerful turbocharged engine, Audi’s quattro all-wheel drive, and a modern cabin experience with features like Virtual Cockpit. It works especially well if you want a premium compact sedan with useful tech and a balanced feel rather than a single standout specialty.

Is the 2021 Audi A4 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2021 Audi A4’s appeal is reinforced by its mature fifth-generation equipment list, available quattro all-wheel drive, and a cabin that had already been updated with a more current touchscreen layout. Its strengths are the kind that tend to matter over time: useful technology, a premium feel, and a well-rounded driving character. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the car you choose has been maintained carefully and matches the condition suggested by its history.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Audi A4?

At 70.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, prioritize a thorough inspection of the body, paint, and interior condition, since those areas can reveal how well the car was treated. Focus especially on signs of uneven wear or repairs that could affect long-term ownership confidence.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Audi A4?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 39.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 343 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.10% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 70.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $20,547, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Audi A4's resale value?

The current average of $20,547 sits slightly below last year's $22,855.

That price movement suggests the model has become more accessible for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy well now and keep the car in strong condition, you can help protect your position when it’s time to resell. The A4’s broad appeal and premium positioning should still support demand, especially for well-kept examples with desirable equipment.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 Audi A4 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 39.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 70.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.10% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $22,521, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $20,547 average.
• It feels fresher and more modern, with strong technology and a rock-solid structure.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2021 is the stronger starting point because it combines a lower average price with solid owner satisfaction and a healthy share of deal-priced listings. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer-feeling alternative, the 2022 is the better secondary path.
