Why it stands out
The 2022 Toyota Tacoma continues to shine in the midsize truck segment thanks to its storied reputation for reliability and remarkable off-road performance. With available trims such as the TRD Pro, it excels in rugged terrains, accommodating adventurous lifestyles while providing a sturdy option for everyday tasks. Notably, the optional 3.5-liter V6 engine boasts 278 horsepower, making it significantly more capable than the base four-cylinder option.
Reviewers appreciate the Tacoma's ease of use, especially when it comes to technology and safety features, although there are some criticisms regarding interior space and ride quality. While its cabin materials may feel dated, the Tacoma manages to blend functionality with modern tech, making it an attractive choice for those needing a dependable and durable vehicle. The balance of strengths and limitations positions the Tacoma as a solid option for buyers seeking a robust pickup capable of handling both work and play.

It has every feature I was looking for except BSM. Definitely a good value compared to others with the same opinions and miles. There really isnt any other models out there to compare it too. It is an awesome truck.

We have owned it 4 days. The Tacoma has great reviews and is very reliable. The V6 engine has enough power and still gets decent gas mileage.

I was specific about the features my Tacoma needed and this truck has them all. It would be nice to play some CDs but I have books on USB, so I can listen to those. Rust proofing is the only thing that I’ll need from a shop who does that. I’m enjoying the truck. I don’t know enough about other trucks to give a comparison. Thank you

It was in nice condition and low miles. But the I4 engine is horribly underpowered. And the lack of any back seats is not good. This is a very basic model - probably needs to be priced lower to sell.
