Yes — the 2022 Toyota Sienna earns a 4.75/5 user rating and an 8.67/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, Technology, and Safety.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Toyota Sienna?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because accident-free status is only a starting point. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on hybrid-system operation, cabin condition, and signs of heavy family use. It also makes sense to compare trim equipment closely, since the Sienna’s value changes a lot with seating layout and convenience features.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Base models use 17-inch wheels, while upper trims move to 18-inch or 20-inch wheels. The cabin also scales up with more storage and available second-row captain’s chairs with ottomans, so you should pay close attention to whether the trim matches your seating and comfort needs.
• Powertrain: The Sienna uses a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and two electric motors for 243 horsepower. FWD is standard, AWD is available, and the hybrid setup is tuned for smooth, efficient driving.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, Lane Tracing Assist, forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, and traffic sign recognition. Toyota’s Star Safety System is also standard.
• Infotainment: A 9-inch touchscreen is standard, along with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Amazon Alexa, SiriusXM, one USB media port, and six USB charging ports. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are not included.
• Fuel efficiency: FWD models are rated at 36 mpg city/36 mpg highway/36 mpg combined, while AWD models are rated at 35 mpg city/36 mpg highway/35 mpg combined.

Which 2022 Toyota Sienna trim should I buy?

The 2022 Toyota Sienna is offered in 6 trim levels: LE, XLE, XSE, Limited, Platinum, and Woodland Edition.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Sienna experience at the lowest price. It’s the trim to start with if you want the hybrid powertrain, standard safety tech, and family-friendly space without paying for extras you may not need.
• XLE: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds more comfort and convenience while staying below the higher-priced luxury-oriented models. It also opens the door to more available equipment, making it a smart middle ground.
• XSE: This trim adds a more distinctive, sportier look and sits above the XLE in price. It makes sense if you want a more expressive Sienna without jumping all the way to the premium trims.
• Limited: This is the better choice if you want a more upscale feel and more available tech. It suits you if comfort and convenience matter more than keeping the purchase price down.
• Woodland Edition: This trim is aimed at families who want a more adventurous look and AWD-only capability. It stands apart from the rest of the lineup with its unique positioning.
• Platinum: This is the top-end choice if you want the most features and the most premium presentation. It’s the trim to consider if you want the fullest Sienna experience and are comfortable paying for it.

Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 is standard across the lineup.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Toyota Sienna?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 36.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,455 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.84% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 81.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $36,529, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Toyota Sienna's resale value?

The current average of $36,661 sits slightly below last year's $38,933.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you as a buyer now but may also mean slower appreciation if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that the Sienna’s value is being supported by its hybrid efficiency and family-friendly utility, but pricing pressure is still visible in the market.

If you buy well and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you should be in a better position when it’s time to sell. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Toyota Sienna safe?

The 2022 Toyota Sienna earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS and five-star ratings from NHTSA.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 is standard, and it includes adaptive cruise control, Lane Tracing Assist, forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, and traffic sign recognition. Toyota’s Star Safety System is also standard, adding stability control, traction control, anti-lock brakes, and electronic brake-force distribution.

The safety setup is especially strong for families because the Sienna also includes 10 airbags, multiple LATCH child-seat connectors, and a rear-seat reminder system. The main caveat is that the safety package is comprehensive, but you should still confirm the exact equipment on the trim you’re considering.

Should I buy a 2022 Toyota Sienna or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 36.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.84% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds the new Woodland trim for families who want a more adventurous look.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $34,681, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $36,661 average.
• It introduced the Sienna’s major redesign and standard hybrid powertrain.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $41,626, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $36,661 average.
• It keeps the hybrid formula and family-focused practicality front and center.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, efficiency, and safety, the 2022 is the one to target. If you’re especially price-sensitive, the 2021 is worth a look because it delivers the core hybrid Sienna formula for less money.
